As many of you are aware I take a great interest in our youth side, where
we hope some of our first team future stars will come from.
So for those that are interested. We are now top the table, and having played one
game less than the rest, lead by 3 points.
    Stats : :
Played 10, Won 8, drawn 0, Lost 2. A great performance lads keep it up.
So if any of you fans want to see some good football for a couple of quid, pop
down to Motspur Park on match days.<badger><bubbly>

I can't get down to Motspurs Park to see the players, so rely on the match program and Fultime to give a back ground on players progress.
What is the best policy to progress the players ?
Keep them playing as a unit so they grow in confidence, or loan them out to give them experience and see how they perform in a better league.

Has Fulhams policy changed in recent years, that we seem to be looking to sign young players who have proven themselves in other teams.

It would be nice to think that the present youth side will produce players to break into the first team squad.

I think it's very hard for Premier managers to push the likes of Dan Burn, Marcello Trotta into the first team, as it is a gamble to throw them in, especially if the team is not playing well.
As fans we have to be realistic in what to expect from young players being thrown into the first team. The likes of Briggs are already getting criticism from some fans who think he should be the finished article.

At the same time we have brought in young players like Kasami and Gecov, who are the managers choice as replacements for older players, both seem to have potential, but again need time, but in the Premier do you get time ?

I think that Fulham have a great acadamy scouting / training & welfare facilities, but I do think that when they are around the
18/21yr old range they should be loaned out, this could give them the expierance, and could more accurately judge their future potential.
Trotta & Burn being two examples
