You are completely delusional. We had 2 shots on target. Hummels and Subotic are better than any of our centrebacks. (even Vermaelen) They are a attacking side playing in a very strong german league. Yet they barely concede any goals. (22 last season) We ship goals for fun and can never hold on to a lead. There's no great conspiracy theory. The press arnt saying we're poor just because they dont like us. Its just the truth. This is the weakest side we've ever had under Arsene Wenger.

Truely stupid Jayram, opinionated but stupid. You should re-watch the Gervinho chance again - he was actually denied by a brilliant tackle from Hummels. I will repeat we had 2 shots on target. I do think they are better yes - The reason i think that is becuase they concede ALOT less goals than us.(They are also capable of holding a lead, something we just cant do.) It's not a belief based on hypetheticals. I also believe United are the best team in the league - Because they win the most games!! Only you could claim we have great defenders after a Season where we conceded soo many goals. (and lets not even mention the fact we have conceded 10 league goals already) I'm a big fan of this Dortmund side I think Hummels will end up at Barcelona or Real Madrid for big money.
I've numbered your points to make them easier to address. 1.Dortmund had a total of 23 shots. We had 9. 2. Koscielney made numerous 'school boy errors' in the first half. 3.We've concede 10 goals in four Premierleague games and we cant hold on to a lead. its the truth. 4. I dont read the Sun or any tabloids.
No offence jayram but I think your view of the arsenal team is unrealistic and silly too, guess we will find out who is right as the season goes on. I am curious to know how good you think our team actually are though. As good as chelsea? Best arsenal team of the last 3 years? Don't know why you have to say that the other person is brainwashed by the media if anyone disagrees with you, its kinda insulting.
I don't think he was going that far, your points are over the top and sarcastic. No harm in someone being a little on the positive side and seeing some of the good things that happened. We are all sick of the moaning & negativity. From What I have seen Jayram does criticise where he feels it's appropriate whether we all agree or not is a moot point, but the differnence is he can also see the positives unlike some of the posters who can only see the negatives all of the time. Not aimed at you Robin, but there are a serious amount of serial moaners on the board.

I don't think one needs to be a rocket scientist to be able to see this and I fear for our chances this year more than at any time during Arsene's tenure. However if they can grind out victories, especially narrow ones when the going is tough and they are not highly fancied, then perhaps something could yet be made of the season. It's not entirely impossible but I think we need quite a lot of Lady Luck on our side this season. Having said that, we have yet to see some of the youngsters and promising new stars in action. Players like Park and Miyaichi for instance. The team need to fully gel as well and we don't know as yet who we would land in January. I am expecting us to buy. If Arsene doesn't then he is more delusional than I ever thought he might be. So if all the factors do come together for us then all is not lost but it is going to be a long road ahead.

You cant make excuses for every occassion. You were claiming the same things during the summer before we signed Mertesacker. The stats prove we dont have a great defence. Also 95% of Arsenal fans would back me on this. We are never secure with even a 2 or 3 goal lead. I hope that with mertesacker and santos in the team this gets better .(both are improvements on what we had) 4. I think murdock is the anti-christ.
That's the thing about Football. Injuries, suspensions and some strange decisions will impact the season for everyone. I'm tired of hearing "If we had [Insert Name Here] fit we would of..." fact of the matter is all teams have injuries or other things against them, don't let it become an excuse, because it's boring quite frankly. One of the reasons I stay away from the Liverpool boards.
I think the game is way too complicated for any of you to break down. I have more respect for Jayram because at least he is making an attempt to analyze the facts for himself instead of beating himelf over the head and crying woe! So far this season, one result aside, has been fairly reasonable. There is a long way to go and the ability of a team is judged by results. If we win a trophy this year it means that Arteta and Benny are good and Fabregas and Nasri were rubbish, and Arsenal are better than they were for the last 6 years. If you guys want a sport judged by opinion watch ice skating.
JAYRAM makes pretty good points in his last post. I'd add that late subs (to waste 30 secs?) for no other reason, also unsettle our side and should not automatically be made. Usually the players are able to play out the 90(93?) minutes perfectly OK.
Gone are the days when 90 minutes was almost precisely that - Cym will remember those days Now refs are allowed to add on 3 to 4 mins or whatever. It doesn't help that there is persistent time wasting during the game and this should be stamped out ( pun not intended ).
