dont no if the rumours are true but if he replaces rio with terry as england captain then i think capello is a total planker. of course i would rather see stevie g as captain but rio has got to be a better choice than terry especially with the reason why he lost it in the first place. he should at least keep rio as captain untill he leaves the england job in 2012.
Personally I hope Capello does drop Rio as captain. Hopefully that'll convince Rio to retire from international football, which will help him stay fit and in top form for Utd. Look at how it's benefitted Carragher, Scholes and Giggsy in recent years.
i hear what you are saying swarbs but its the way he is going about it and if it is true i wouldnt blame rio for telling him to stuff it and walk away.
and that idiot capello.get the special one in.capello has no manmanagement skills he is a complete embarassment to our sport and our team,i mean he lost it totally at the world cup.
Especially with the reason he lost it in the first place? A fukin rumour that got blown out of all proportion and never proved, wasnt taken from him because of footballing reasons,JT has the heart of a lion and lets be honest gerrard hasnt exactly been out of the news has he with fighting in nightclubs etc, take your red goggles of FUKWIT.
Except it was conclusively proven by the fact that Terry and Perroncel didn't sue. If there was even a chance it was false, Terry would have sued the Daily Mail for millions - British libel laws would mean the paper would have had to show conclusive proof or pay up. The fact Terry didn't sue means he must have been very worried that they did have proof, hence the proof must exist. I agree that all the candidates for captain aren't exactly ideal - Rio's drug test and elbowing issue, Gerrard's punching a DJ and running a kid over, and Terry's multiple affairs are hardly great character traits. But then again it's hard to think of a captain of a top PL club that doesn't have some form of chequered background. And only Terry's actions directly affected the team - it's hard to be a leader of a team when you've shown you are willing to sleep with a team mate's partner behind his back. He's probably the best candidate on football leadership terms alone, but will the other players fully trust him?
Terry shouldn't even be in the team for me. He was awful at the last World Cup, and has done nothing of note since then to suggest he deserves a second chance. Rooney was **** too, but at least he has youth on his side, and he isn't willing to **** over his team-mates.
