If you throw enough darts eventually you'll hit the bullseye. Doesnt mean you can hit it every time though

As someone pointed out in the BBC article (which was wrong) he didn't score in the first leg, so unless they've played 6 since then, he hasn't scored in 6 in a row. 6/7 isn't bad though!

It was 7 goals in the last 7 classicos. He scored twice yesterday.

Scoring wasn't the point you were making, as far as I can see. You were making the point that he outdone Messi last night, which hasn't happened very often when both players have been on the pitch. Even back to Ronaldo's days with us Messi has generally had the better of things

Plus Argentina set their team up just like Barce now with Messi up front and a world class lineup behind him, Portugal still play Ronaldo on the wing with a whole host of average players in the team.

Portugal have done better in major tournaments over the past 10 years than Argentina. Argentina have good strikers, but there midfield has been poor for a while, that's why they had to resort to playing a 36 year old Veron as there main playmaker at the last World Cup

That was down to poor squad selection, they left out players like Benega, Gaitan and Cambiasso, Maradona just seemed clueless as a manager.

To be fair, Portugal's manager is also **** so that put them on a level playing field, and Veron may of been getting on a bit (didn't he still win player of the year in Argentina?) but he still had Mascherano sitting alongside him, is that really much worse than Veloso and Meireles?

Mascherano is just a water carrier, and Moutinho is alot more creative than a 36 year old Veron. I honestly wouldn't say there is alot of difference between the starting 11 of either country

Really? Currently Portugal's more attacking players are Ronaldo, Postiga, Nani, Verela, Moutinho and Danny... Argentina have the likes of Higuain, Messi, Aguero, Tevez, Di Maria, Gaitan and Lavezzi, defensively there is only really Coentrao and maybe Pepe that stands out for Portugal, Argentina have Zabaleta, Collocini, Garay, Campagnaro, Mascherano, Benega and Gago, on paper they have a much stronger team than most in my opinion, and that definitely includes Portugal.

Good to see him taking players on.
