Tbf he has no need to do any further press conferences cos its the same old shyte he spouts .. just do a rerun of any pre match interview and there we have it .. mind numbing cliches with not an ounce of genuine passion .. no wonder he can't motivate the team let alone coach them.

Twice nearly lost the club. 1st time administration 2nd time nothing to administer and Allam’s saves us. The quality of the football is still better than the ****e we had to endure during the 90’s. Now is not good but it’s been worse

It’s not just the quality of the football is it. The first half just looked like they couldn’t give a ****. Even when football quality was **** there were always a couple of guys looking like they were trying. The managers still spoke with some passion. This is just soul less from top to bottom.

Can you point to anytime in City's history where they had 6 pts out of an available 54 ( adjusted for the new currency of 3 points for a win). That's 11.1 % in new money, 13.9 % in old money.

That's not including fight & desire, which currently seems to be zero. Nor owners who seem to be indifferent to future progress other than recouping their investment and expecting an unrealistic rate of return by overvaluing it's current value ?

Godrevy Buoy in the previous post is highlighting a very important difference between now & the 90's (Lloyd et al era).

There are no "White Knights" taking the bait due to the current owner's unrealistic valuations. Thus the steady squeezing the life out of the club. Despite saving us from oblivion, the current owners are gradually ploughing the club & it's history into the abyss. I don't recall any of our previous owners intending the same.

Been tied up most of the day. So, McCann hasn't been removed? Incredible. WTF does someone need to do to get the boot?

Two more seasons of the Allams and, by your logic, it will 100% be worse, because we'll be non-league.

Did you check the stats over a successive 18 game "streak" in either situation ?

If you had mentioned worse form then I would not of even replied as that is Obvious. But you didn’t say form and I have replied saying, regards the situation we are in, it has been worse. Nothing worse than not being here. Rather be ill, no matter how seriously it is, as long as it’s not terminal or permanent, than dead. This describes were we are. We as a club have played worse with worse players although this shower are up there. In respect of the club, we have been in infinitely worse positions and very close to death at least twice. Much worse than being relegated from the championship

    I think it's a matter of relativity.
Yes we have been in lower league positions. Closer to extinction than we currently are in the League heirarchy. What I am talking about is the velocity (speed & direction in time) we are seeing right now.
Down the league pyramid we are heading - swiftly. Owners who don't appear to give a ****. Rudderless management and a team of players who are clearly confused and as a result perhaps not busting their arses to keep this downward trend from continuing. Players wanting to leave a sinking ship with massive changes in player personnel every season. I don't recall those characteristics being so bad in previous low times.

Admittedly, you may have been closer to the action than myself in the 90's. I did keep in touch from a distance a variety of ways. Perhaps the relative volume of information is colouring my opinion right now. Who knows ?

    It's very bad.

Christ there's a lot of pedantic people on this board. C'mon guys, history is history but we all know the Allam's are ****s, Terry is ****ing useless, between them they are currently driving our club into the ground and we're ****ed until they are all gone. No guarantees after that but I just wish they would all **** off, now.

The first rule that always explains the inexplicable to is "Follow the money" - it will always tell you why things are the way they are no matter how odd it seems to be. So, considering that we are walking placidly over a cliff with absolutely no attempt (NO ATTEMPT) to alter our destiny even at this eleventh hour, Ehab must not be about to lose any personal finances from this debacle. Can anyone explain to me how he is immune to a financial hit from this?

Papa is non compos mentis and junior is in line for a very large inheritance regardless of the demise of the club.

I think Ehab gave us a big hint in an interview late June that relegation wouldn't be the end of the world financially. He used Bolton as an example of a team staying up by the skin of their teeth but struggling even worse the season after, then when relegated having to go into administration - I would be surprised if the present financial situation at the club is enough to finance a championship club. We're going to seek a level where we become self financing - best guess is that would be mid-table L1

It's for this reason, that exact line, that I think they're trying to send us down.

We'll never know unless somebody blows the whistle on them, but it smacks of financial reasons.

It's certainly seems that way .
Anybody can see that removing McCann not long after the results started getting bad would have resulted in the 10 points required to stay up .

I think that's about right, the cost of running a League 1 club is much lower than a Championship club, of course the income is much less but so are the costs. My guess is that Ehab thinks that profiting on player sales can make up any shortfall and could make profit.

The difference is when buying players for less than 1/2 million and showcasing them in the Championship could result in a multi million pound sale, less likely when they are playing in League 1
