Well my pal told me this story about the polis at the airport. It's just as convincing as the Phil mAcgoeifdsfkjj one. He told me 'One sunny day I was flying into Glasgow Airport ahead of the game with a few fellow supporters. There was a man on the flight who was obviously 'wan of them' and kept farting on the flight. 'Pure humming so he was'. So on landing my mate spoke to the polis and informed him that a member of the Green Brigade was on the flight and could they apprehend him for a laugh. Trouser legs were rolled up and funny handshakes exchanged. Would you believe that the polis then went and huckled the ****? Hilarious.' This actually happened.
Rebelbhoy I admire your optimism or should I worry about naivety. To the best of my knowledge legislation relating to, Celtic/Rangers, Irish Republican/Loyalists have never been enacted fairly and even handed in either Scotland or North of Ireland. It is easy for 3rd/4th generation Irish living away from these sectarian holes to preach and pontificate on what is right and what is wrong. I have never been a member of any organisation, not even the GB. However in the North of Ireland in the 70's 80's and 90's I was frequently stopped iin the vicinity of loyalists house and kept for up to an hour, so the loyalists would have reason to suspect that I was involved in something; going to Celtic matches and GAA matches. I was once stopped and held on the side of the road by a neighbour who lived next door but one. Rebelbhoy do you think that happened to people who attended Rangers matches. Those who don't want to believe Phil's story don't have to. I for one knows there is no reason not to believe it. The SB and MI5 have not gone away and they like us to know they are boss.
The Bill has very little to do with fairness. If it passes, it will be affected evenly in terms of numbers. I is politically expedient to do that. Folk getting stopped, delayed and harrangued right now is something else again.
He's full of ****. 80% of his blog posts are about Rangers and he used to call himself a 'dissident journalist' . A complete fantasist who likes to bask in his own perceived celebrity, fighting his own war against no one and nothingness.
Maltese Mick I take it you are not really a friend of Phil's Rebelbhoy, I just cannot see how this legislation or any legislation is enacted in a total impartial way. The fairness of it will depend on those imposing the legislation.
The Bill is a joke, it can be applied to just about any behaviour at just about any time. We have already seen that this is about 'evening up' of treatment of "Old Firm" fans. We know this because this is exactly what we have been told. The law makers want legislation that can be applied with equal ferocity against both sides of the Glasgow divide. The Police website refers to it as tackling sectarianism, they are about the only people that still address it as such. Sectarianism is why this bill was introduced and when they realised they couldn't get us for that, they decided to go after offensive behaviour. Make no mistake, We are being criminalised because 'they' have to get at both us and the Huns. 'They' want to use the same tool to do that against us both so we can be told that they have taken on sectarianism and give truth to the lie we are both as bad as each other.
have you seen his latest effort? Salmond looked at the scandanavian countries Iceland and Ireland... eh? since when has ireland been in scandanavia?
But Salmond did look at Ireland, Scandinavia and Icelands economies as a basis for Scotlands You have to remember...all journalists are woeful at English....its why papers employ copywriters
Iceland is part of scandanavia so the sentence makes no sense. like saying britain, wales and france.
It is a good article on face value. Maybe he rediscovered his backbone on the road to Westport....or maybe he misjudged the zeitgeist last time and thinks we'll all forgotten.
if you want to pedantic then denmark isn't part of scandanavia either so it should read scandanavian countires, denmark, iceland and ireland.
