This is absolutely terrible stuff! To say our defence is an absolute disgrace is a complete understatement. Cresswell: Have not seen any of him so cannot comment. Delaney: An absolute donkey who should not be allowed on a football pitch. Smith: How did he ever become a professional footballer. Completely hopeless. Edwards: Should not be right back but still just as headless as the rest of them. I blame jewell 100%. He had a full summer knowing we needed pretty much a complete new back line and all he does is sign cresswell and a totally injury prone centre half. Southampton are making us look like complete fools. Jewell if you dont get at least two quality defenders in before the transfer window shuts then im afraid you shouldnt be in management mate.
Chill out mate. Transfer window's not shut yet and prem teams won't be letting players out on loan until after August 31st when they submit their 25 man teams.
Ah lads in fairness to ship four goals at home is a disgrace......we are no closer to a top six team this season than we were for the last number of years!!

Have to agree with San Diego. But obviously its pretty infuriating to concede 5 at home. Credit where it's due Southampton are a decent team and deserved their win but I fancy PJ will use this as a justification to go out and add strength to the squad. Once we get two Centre halves and maybe some other areas then we'll have a better idea. But as others will say PJ has had all summer. Hopefully we can learn from it and turn it around quickly,
But who is he going to sign?? His all talk about been in for this player and that player. But realistically there was never a chance of the likes of upson or woodgate coming to ipswich. I think the tonight really showed up just how bad we are at the back and unless pj sorts it out quick then we will continue to slide down!!
I wouldn't be surprised if PJ goes and spends a bit on a centre half or two. He clearly sees what the fans see. The only issue is there isn't any blatantly obvious signings out there, no one wants to give much away and I think PJ may have to spend a little more dollar than he is currently look to
I think he has to spend alot of the CWick money, problem is, we are hardly an attractive proposition at the moment, players will look at our last 3 results and think, no thanks!! Should have happened months ago!!

At least my accumalator came in tonight........arsenal, boro, palace, west ham and sheffield united! Couldnt believe my eyes when i checked the final score in the palace game to see they scored two 90th minute goals...and sheffield united came from two down!! Im still angry about our own boys performance though!!!!

We are well and truly Fuc*ed! That was the most inept defensive performance I have had the misfortune to see and I have seen quite a few. After 4 seasons of complete garbage this has just taken it to an all time low. I blame Jewell and Clegg for this mess pure and simple. They have known from the end of last season that we had to get decent players into our defence at Right Back and 2 quality Centre Backs. What do we end up with? A crock from Reading who they didn't want! FFS Jewell wake up and realise that Smith and Delaney shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a football pitch! They should be sued under the trades descriptions act for claiming to be professional footballers. I really don't know where we go from here tbh. If we get beat at Peterboro than god help us!

To be fair southampton are a good side, they were a good team when we played them in league one a couple of years back the only reason they didn't go up with us autos was the points reduction. Ipswich have massive defensive frailties. We proved it last season and it was proved tonight. You need a massive centre back fast or your in massive trouble.
