Tx I have this and have used it but it was very time consuming, and sort of gave up/other things got in the way! Did you find it reliable enough to trust it not to delete anything that was not a duplicate even if it was a 100% match.
On Toby's good advice I installed the free windows backup software from Veeam and found it very straight forward with good documentation. Much better than the Windows 7 backup. So far is does the job I want and does not seem to impact on my PC's performance. It does a full backup to start and then incremental ones thereafter and manages the disk space by consolidating backups regularly. Not tried the restore bit yet, hopefully will never have to! Many thanks Toby. Now to deal with AVG....
I am still holding back from uninstalling avg.. Will get there.. Always a struggle to get rid of every element
I never got my payment from that Nigerian's email I responded to, I wonder if it was due to a technical issue
last few games i have had margefrick.com hijack a cricfree link and then freeze up my browser with windows that want me to log in.... etc. The only way i have got out of it is to go to task manager close the browser and reopen it and click closed the offending tab before it has time to boot. Can anyone advise me how to rid myself of this once and all? I am using firefox and have adblock plus..... cheers
I don't think it is a great deal of help to you, but I use Chrome with adblock plus. As far as I can see Firstrow and Cricfree are the same thing going by the layout and number of links they put up. I have found Firstrow to be very good and had the game with only 10 secs buffering on the one occasion. I tried link 5 to start with, which wanted me to take the adblocker off. I then tried link 4 and my anti-virus immediately came up to say that it had isolated a virus, I forget which one, but then the stream came on and was fine. Link 6 is often Spanish I think, and Link 1 is a betting site. So generally link 2,3 or 4 works well. I used the same site last night to watch my French game and the quality on that was A1 and there was no buffering at all.
Thank you Frenchie... I also find it odd that the same link works differently for different people.. A mystery.. I will look more closely next time we have a match...
I use Chrome and usually go with mamahd (who recently have provided the excellent harley quinn widget links). I have to turn adblock off so get lots of pop up adverts and the occasional virus warning but Apart from the irritating nature of these things my pc has not come to any harm. I keep meaning to get vpn, to see if it makes any Difference? I also find some links work well for me and others don't and often take me to betting sites.
I have tried the mamahd site when it has been recommended by one of you, but my anti-virus protector often shuts it down before I can even get into it because it tells me it is infected.
AVG seems to clean the attack and let me proceed on mamahd.... Does anyone else get a margefrick.com attack?? I seem to get it via Cricfree ...and it some sort of ad bot.....
That's a good idea I will try it with my not ipad. I have 2 21" screens on my pc with 606 up on one and the match on the other. Pc connected to amp.
I get virus warnings from AVG no idea what virus though but it seems to do its job despite its very annoying habits with the free version. Has anyone used the password vault on AVG?
We use something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lighting-Adapter-Compatible-Projector-Digital-White/dp/B083V28C1Z with mamahd at the moment. If you use other sites you do have to be patient with getting rid of all the crappy advertising and closing links down in an order you learn by trial and error. Some adverts have false x boxes which are part of the hyperlink to whatever crap they are advertising. Given the questionable nature of this practice, it intrigues me that many of these adverts are for Amazon, William Hill, Ladbrokes...
Awesome. Matej is a bit like that. He sets up camp with Final Score on brother’s ipad, his iPad on BBC Football (he’s following more than one league!), my iPad with our match on the television, and if I lend him a laptop, he’ll have something rolling on that, perhaps the text of our match. Saturday morning charging in our house is why the National Grid turns on Auxiliary Nuclear. He confiscates everything then produces charging cables (that are otherwise seemingly non-existent for the rest of the week) out of a hat like a magician and off he goes! Beware ye who try and get in his way...
The ability to multitask in that way has long since passed although if you beleive mme I never had in the first place. I always thought it better to concentrate on one thing at a time though.
