Apart from Sidwell and Grygera, the only doubts appear to be Kelly and Etuhu. Jol in today's press conference has confirmed that Dembele will continue in midfield alongside Murphy - which seems to confirm that he has now found his natural position in the team. At the same time Jol issued a 'warning' to the younger members of the squad that they need to 'step up to the mark' for him to select them - http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/london-sport/fulham-fc/2012/03/02/jol-throws-down-the-gauntlet-to-fulham-youngsters-64767-30445135/ The article suggests that new boy Diarra will get an outing but, if it happens, I'd expect it to be as a sub for Murphy after the inevitable 70 minutes. Personally, for this game which will be fairly robust, I'd play Duff instead of Ruiz but I don't think Jol will see it that way. I'd also expect Hughes to keep his place and therefore, will go for the same starting line up as against QPR, except Baird for Kelly. -------Schwartzer --------- Baird---Hughes-- Hangeland---Riise ----------Murphy------ Dempsey--Dembele---Ruiz ----Johnson--Pog---
I agree, Cottager. I think only injuries will make Jol change the side from last week. Is Kelly definitely out, or might he keep his place in the starting line-up? My paper had last week's line up playing as a 4-2-3-1 (Dembele alongside Murphy as the 2, AJ as part of the 3 rather than alongside Pog). Those of you who were there, which is the more accurate description of how we actually played last week, that or the formation above?
Captain, I was and you are correct. Certainly in the first period. Second half? AJ was pushed wide right and at times I'm not sure where Dempsey and Ruiz were. The Kelly injury is not serious ('little tear in his right quad', which I think means he's got a thigh strain) but I doubt if Jol will risk him.
That lineup, swapping Hughes for Senderos, and I'd be happy. I think this partnership of Murphy and Dembele in the middle is great.
Cannot see Diarra starting, Murph's has been the linchpin in the midfield, could see him coming on definately if he is fit. I am really excited to see what level of performance he is upto. In his day he was a superb player, be great to see a player of his stature in a Fulham shirt. For the first time, in a long time, that looks a very balanced team. Bring on tomorrow. COYW
Wolves are undefeated in 3 visits to London. But if we what to have our 3 wins out of 3, then let's start with Danny Murphy. Diarra on the bench is fine. The points mid-table are close means a win could see us in the top-half, maybe even 8th. C O Y W
