So the final home game of a disappointing season is on monday night. We are going to see quite a few players wearing a Leicester shirt for the last time. There probably will be alot of changes over the summer. Anyway Martyn Waghorn returned for the reserves and scored yesterday so depending on how he came through it he might get a chance of getting on the bench as will Darius Vassell. Neil Danns is out after he groin operation recently. Paul Gallagher's brother in law saws Gally might never pull on a City shirt again so who knows what road that is heading. So what team would you put out against West Ham. They might rest a few if Southampton win tommorow and get promoted as Monday will be a nothing game to both teams then. But if Southampton fail to win and we get a result again West Ham that could see Southampton promoted. So what team would you play. I would go with Schmeichel Peltier Morgan Bamba Konchesky Marshall Drinkwater King Dyer Nugent Schlupp Subs- St. Ledger, Kennedy, Wellens, Howard, Hopper (Waghorn or Vassell if fit)
After Southampton WIN @ Middlesboro on saturday team time this game will be meaningless. Could be the last game Big Sams main players get a run out. 2 week break pending the play-offs. See you next season Foxes. Whats with Beckford now ? and apart from Matt Mills what other players will NP be ditiching in the summer Proud ?
Mills is the only one that will def be out imo, a player of his ability shouldn't really be out of a championship team, he will no doubt come back to haunt us at some point next season. A few players who may be considered "over the hill" might go, maybe Howard, poss Tunchev, but Wellens will stay. Wouldn't surprise me if Waghorn left, even if it was just on loan, especially if this Vardy rumour is true. Dunno about Beckford, i'd be happy to keep him, if we create more goalscoring opertunities (a few new midfielders will prob come in the summeer to deal with this), he'll do well.
Alot will go in the summer Pantsil, Mills, Gallagher, Oakley, Howard, Vassell, Moussa, Wellens, Beckford, Weale and Tunchev i think will leave And Konchesky and Bamba could also go
Can't see Nige getting rid of his old guard really since he's played most of them when they've been available.
He has had to play them as there is no one else. Gallagher wants out after the abuse he gets from the fans. Wellens is no longer performing. Oakley and Howard's contracts run out and i cant see them getting new ones
