We go again at White hart lane against Tottenham on Wednesday but in this league this time. Claudio Ranieri has rated Jamie Vardy at 50-50 to make the fixture. Matty James is close to returning as is Jeff Schlupp. So here is what I would play

    Schmeichel

    Simpson
    Morgan
    Huth
    Fuchs

    Mahrez
    Kante
    Drinkwater
    Albrighton

    Okazaki
    Ulloa

Subs- Schwarzer, De Laet, Wasilewski, King, Inler, Gray, Vardy

If JV´s 50/50 should he be traveling ?
Yesterday´s draw would of been a good point, if it had been a lge game, but both teams did make a few changes so things will be different mid week that´s for sure.
I can´t see your team being to far wrong tbh although not sure I´d have Ulloa up top, mabe give Krammy a go. Where does Gray play anyway, is he a CM ?

I don't think Vardy will be risked. Think CR is likely to start 4-5-1 again, so would go with this.

    Schmeichel
    Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs
    Mahrez Kante Inler Drinkwater Gray
    Okazaki

With 4-5-1, your relying on the wingers to have a few more shots, so would start with Gray and Mahrez coming inside with Okazaki doing the legwork to provide chances as well as having some.

    Schmeichel
    Simpson - Morgan - Huth - Fuchs
    Mahrez - Inler - Kante - Albrighton
    Okazaki
    Vardy

If Vardy's not fit, which is likely, then I'd give Okazaki an opportunity to prove himself as the lone frontman, and bring in Drinkwater. Probably a bit too defensive really.

Harsh on King but I think that is our best midfield 3.

We should be allowed to play 12 players if we have a similar ref <whistle>

I really can't remember Inler contributing very much. In fact I would say he is the most disappointing of the summer arrivals, which has surprised me. I know he hasn't had many opportunities, but I would have expected more of an international captain. Andy King on the other hand was terrific yesterday. He covered and worked back to break up numerous Spurs attacks. I only get to see televised games but that must have been one of his best defensive displays ever.

..... and I would play Albrighton instead of Gray. The coaches are going to have to spend time explaining to Gray that we expect a bit more effort from him on the defensive front.

... spot on with Kingy but Inler was pretty good too .. in fact the defensive cover the midfield gave to the back four, particularly in the second half, was superb ... Inlers passing was his best to date ...

Just cannot see why you would leave Albrighton out, see our record over the last 30 games, so I would replace Inler and push Gray forward. Hopefully Vardy will make the bench alongside Ulloa, Kramaric, King and Dyer.

They're very different kinds of players, all of our midfielders are. King put a shift in, but Inler looked like a captain, his positioning was really good, and that pass out to Gray in the second half was as good as any Cambiasso did last season. I know many on here don't rate him but I think Inler could still be really good for us, especially in games like Spurs away where we can get run away in midfield. It was interesting to see how poor Kante was in that match, maybe Ranieri was trying to get him to play a more attacking role?

You are right - Inler was the DM and Kante the more traditional CM in the first half and it didn't work.

It was much better in the second when Kante came off and you had a "proper" traditional CM in King alongside him so if you want Inler to play, you would need to drop Kante and I wouldn't.

King is more of a box-to-box midfielder and like you said, really put a shift in. I would love to see him next to Kante as both of them would outwork any other midfield in the League but Drinkwater is also undroppable.

Beware Sun reporters bearing opinions! :emoticon-0100-smile The corner wasn't bad but I think the scary man terrified their defenders. It was the sort of poor goal we conceded against Man Utd.

Gray will prove a great buy in time.
Ranieri has already said he needs to improve in certain areas which is obvious. The lad is 19 yrs old so of course is still raw talent.
Ranieri will bring him on in leaps and bounds just as he has with so many of the others in the squad
Not a chance he will start tomorrow night , Albrighton will be back in and rightly so.
