Watched it again last night ....admittedly soft ...softer than I thought when I saw it live ... but Rose gets a toe on the ball that Nuge has lost control of and there is contact ... if that had been Vardy instead of Rose we'd have been justifying a penalty on here ... a Watched it again last night ....admittedly soft ...softer than I thought when I saw it live ... but Rose gets a toe on the ball that Nuge has lost control of and there is contact ... if that had been Vardy instead of Rose we'd have been justifying a penalty on here ... a poor decision by Nuge not to clear first time having initially done well to cover Rose's run and to get there first... You are right about Kaspar and I can't fathom Pearson's decision to play him ... Schwarzer has had two very good back to back performances and is proven at this level ... Kaspar has been dodgy all season and the flapping was evident yesterday again ... I feel as if Spurs would not have got the first and fourth goals yesterday if Schwarzer had played ...he would have got more on the flick and I think he would have smothered the Ericksen chance ... just my 'feel' admittedly Watched it again last night ....admittedly soft ...softer than I thought when I saw it live ... but Rose gets a toe on the ball that Nuge has lost control of and there is contact ... if that had been Vardy instead of Rose we'd have been justifying a penalty on here ... a poor decision by Nuge not to clear first time having initially done well to cover Rose's run and to get there first... Strangely I was on non-alcoholic beer ... had 6 10 year olds on a sleepover and my missus made me promise to be able to drive in case of 'emergency' ... ...had a few IT problems this morning as you might suspect!!!!! ... I ... funniest thing I saw today was The Suns match ratings ... they made a point of giving Kasper a 4 - the lowest of all players in the game - even going as far as saying his performance was the worst of the 3 keepers who played ... how long was Lloris on the pitch for?
I managed to find the highlights on t'internet somewhere and watched them with the utmost interest and I have to admit that Spurs first goal was diabolical defending, their 2nd was a bit unfortunate for Huth, the penalty should never have been given it was 2 players colliding with each other, and the 4th just about summed our whole season up. See Phil Thompsons reaction to the penalty here http://www1.skysports.com/football/live/match/313685/video Our goals were brilliantly taken by Vardy, Morgan & Nugent and I'm not just saying that with blue tinted glasses on, our counter attack for Vardy's goal was fast and slick and Nugents cross for Vardy was inch perfect, which Vardy took brilliantly first time, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Goal of the Month contender. Nugents goal was a bit of individual class, although he'd tried something similar earlier on when Vorm had just come on for Lloris. Morgans goal was poor defending by Spurs, but it was still superbly taken. All in all, was glad to see us 'going for it' although our defence is a bit shakey, but at this late stage not a lot we can do about it. We need to be playing this sort of way for the next few games, regardless of the opposition, we really have no choice now. As I've said in other posts, it doesn't matter if we get beat 4 or 5-0 now we just have to go for wins. I was happy with the substitutions, although I would have taken James off and put Drinkwater on, actually I think I would have started with DD. Next up West Ham at home, same formation for me if not the same team.
