Riyad Mahrez is fine after suffering from cramp against Watford, N'Golo Kante came through against Watford without any further injuries. Everyone else is fully fit and available, so here is what I would go with Schmeichel Simpson Huth Morgan Fuchs Mahrez Drinkwater Kante Albrighton Vardy Okazaki Subs- Schwarzer, Amartey, Wasilewski, Gray, Schlupp, King, Ulloa
Because they look tired and those that have replaced them in recent games have looked fantastic. This is the easiest chance of 3 points we have til the end of the season. That isn't taking them lightly, it's just being realistic. You look at it as dropping players but I say that it's rewarding those who take their place.
We've got plenty of time between matches right now (still 4 days until Newcastle) so we don't need to worry about players' fitness. Kanté needs to play every game possible. King did play well against Watford, but we haven't got any time for sentiment. I don't think we're going to thrash Newcastle- if their players decide to show up properly they could win this. We need everybody working in tandem.
I thought he looked absolutely shattered and we had to bring on another midfielder to compensate. Not like himself in the first half at all. King however has put in his two best performances at PL level in his last two outings. He deserves his chance. Resting is not weakening.
... OK .... can't say I noticed that ... but for the reasons outlined already above I'd be amazed if the starting XI changes ... unless someone really is injured ...
..wow ... you must be watching different matches to me ed ... personally I think he has been fantastic ...
Watching Spurs proves that tinkering with your team can really bugger you up - they tried resting a few players and got shafted. We are on a roll, we have nothing else but the league so lets stick with the winning formula.
Absolutely agree with this. This starting 11 do all the dirty work. Albrighton and Okazaki may have been replaced lately but they have worked their socks off beforehand. We may have scored in the second half lately but it has been set up by these guys.Glad to see James is back to full fitness but cant see him starting before Drinky or Kante or coming on before King unless he has been sensational in training. Definitely not a good time to be playing Newcastle especially if they sack McLaren before hand but confident we can get a good result here.
McClaren has been sacked today - there is no statement about who will be in charge on Monday against us. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35736581
Arse. Hoped the wally with the brolly would hang on until Monday. Don't want any new manager resurgence for our match.
Great! Benitez in already, they could have changed managers AFTER we spank them! Gunna be an interesting game now, 11 players looking to impress a new manager, gunna need the best team we can muster.
