Sready there Jack lad - there will be many ups and downs for the 'promotion chasing' teams this season (and I would discount only the bootom few teams from that) ... 3 wins on the bounce in this league can take you from lower half mediocrity into a play-off place - I think you are placing way too much importance on this particular game ..

Yeah I know what you're saying, but it's just my opinion that if we realistically want to get in the automatic places, we should really be winning games like this. For a team chasing the top two, you can't go 5 games without winning. These are the kind of games we usually slip up in, and look where that's got us the last few seasons.

I saw his debut against Cardiff and I thought he played really well.

Same squad but different tactics and a different mentality <ok> In football like all sport confidence and belief are essential ingredients. We have some decent players and now they have finally begun to realise this we will start to climb the table.

I know, I was just joking.

I would have your squad as mid-table ish, only Jewell being a complete moron made me think you would struggle a bit this season.

I really like McCarthy as a manager, he's a lot like Pearson in his 'no nonsense' approach to football and I really enjoy his interviews. I think he'll sort you out but he should be given time.

Good luck for this season (aside from our games) as I think Ipswich is a football club that shouldn't be where it is.

    Cheers mate <ok>

At least if nothing else we should be competitive on Saturday and the thing about McCarthy is that he has completely changed the whole mood of the club. We were all resigned to relegation with the idiot Jewell in charge as he was just clueless beyond belief! I would settle for a decent mid table finish this season and then kick on next year. The good thing is that McCarthy knows he will have some decent money to spend and I have every confidence that he will spend it wisely.

Good luck except for Saturday of course and I have already got a bet on Nugent scoring against us!

Probably not the most practical tool for getting the ball in the net. Cricket bat?

Unfortunately for us, teams which are about to turn their season around often tend to start their good form against the Foxes!
While I wish Ipswich all the best, I hope you have wait a fortnight before the turnaround begins.. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Unfortunately exactly the sort of team that tends to frustrate us at homes- remember too many draws, especially at home, against teams like them- disappointing home draw with them last season.

Where has all the positivity gone? Nugent to be OK and Waghorn to break his duck with a brace and a clean sheet. Sorted.

We have signed Bradley Orr today and he will go straight into the team at Right Back. We haven't had a proper Right Back in over 2 years so us Town fans are absolutely delighted. With Orr at Right Back this will allow Edwards to play at RM which is his favoured position with his pace and crossing ability. I think we may well surprise you on Saturday and cause you a few problems going forward. I just can't believe the amount of positivity around Portman Road since MM's arrival and I genuinely believe that we can avoid the drop and begin to push on.

Good luck to you foxes after Saturday.

Paul Konchesky, Jamie Vardy and David Nugent are all fit and available

Sean St. Ledger still needs another week or 2 and Michael Keane has returned to Man U and probably wont come back here as he is injured and more then likely wont be fit again until his loan has expired and SSL has returned

Red a piece by Rio ferdinand on an MUFC fan site saying how good he felt that Keane was and how he was going to be a 'big player' for United in the future - he also complimented the loan move to us - so hopefully they may let us have him back for an extended spell once he is fit and well.
