Funny old game they say, nothing against Spurs after playing well but three points today with a mixture of great defense and good luck. I quite like Konchesky as a player but he is never going to change and has those crazy no brain moments. Perhaps he just didn't fancy the trip back to Anfield.

I do believe I was saying this at the start of the season, our DEF needs addressing. Yes we got a clean sheet yesterday (some how) but we rode our luck so many times.
What I mean is, if you let a team use your goal as a target for 90 mins they will hit it evenually & more often than not more than once.
Have we not had 3 DEF´s sent off in recent weeks ?

A very good 3 points, well done City.

    P.s this new format WHY?

I really hope we appeal the Konchesky red card and then he gets banned for another 2 games! He's a fookin liability at times - new left back in the January sales please.

Only saw the highlights last night. Obviously the win is great for the fans and the whole club and the players deserved a bit of luck at last. But I found myself screaming at the TV with some of the stuff that was going on.

Trouble is that with only seeing highlights it's impossible to know whether what was shown was a true reflection of the game as a whole. But there were 2 things that really got me going. Firstly there were instances where we had plenty of players (definitely 10, maybe all 11) behind the ball but still let the opposition run 10 or 15 yards into a shooting position without anyone making a challenge. And secondly Hull lumped numerous crosses into our box and our central defenders simply could not get a meaningful head on the ball. And what was Simpson doing with that free clearing header that he put back across the box?

As I said, a great win but let's not kid ourselves; Hull lost that game rather than we won it. We desperately need to get a quality centre half in quickly and try and build on that win. And let's get the midfield tackling as high up the pitch as possible. Any more games like that and I'll have to end up apologising to the neighbours.

Dont think you can appeal a sending off for 2 yellows. So - only a 1 game ban.

Think that was a joke about the appeal, rightside is clearly not a Knonchesky fan. Agree with the Simpson header but worse for me was Schlupp protesting about not getting a throw and lost his man who from memory then hit the post. Focus boys, focus!
