Caroll playing well but am absolutely DELIGHTED to see Holtby outshine everyone else after the amount of people on here writing him off already and claiming Carroll is better. Carroll needs a loan to a prem team. Townsend needs a little more experience for me too.
I know what you mean about Holtby Roo he has something about him. He's by no means the finished article but he wants the ball all the time and he doesn't go hiding if he makes a mistake. Definitely number 10 is his position. Great to see Kaboul and Sandro back as well.
Agree TJ. I like Carroll but he needs a loan to a premier league club to get experience. Sorry Boss this is just my opinion but he's not good enough YET to be starting league matches for us. I have high hopes for him and hopefully he can go away and do as well as Walker, Rose and Townsend and then come back and fight for a place in the first team.
Aside from individual performances - it's clear the players understand the formation and the tactics better. The difference in performance compared to beginning last season is massive and even compared to the end of last where often we looked disjointed
Finally tonight, my wish for central creativity has been granted. Some of the football has been excellent tonight. I know the opposition are ****e, but the ideas we've shown have been excellent. 100% orchestrated by Carroll and holtby. Take a bow lads.
