Difficult to drop anybody from Sunday, but for Carmines's sake, would put Matty Jones (looked awesome when he came on) for Hammond (harsh cos of his consistency). Oh the hard decisions Pearson has to make.

I agree with Barwell ... tough to leave anyone out after that performance - although that team appears to have been set up to exploit the perceived (and, as it turned out, real) defensive frailties of United's defence ...

Only 5-3 against Man U! poor result, wholesale changes needed!

    Hamer
Simpson Wasyl Upson in a wheelchair Schlupp
    Knockeart James Mahrez
    Powell
    Wood Lawrence

... alhough Pearson will probably play the same team in the hopes that they can improve ...

    Schmeichel
    De Laet Morgan Moore Konchesky
    James Cambiasso Drinkwater
    Vardy Ulloa Mahrez

Harsh to drop Nuge but I think we're now in a position where we can play our strongest 11. I don't think that Nuge gets into that.

IMO our strongest 11 would be a 4-3-2-1

Back 5 picks itself, James, Cambiasso and Drinkwater in midfield with Vardy and Mahrez playing off Ulloa

Can't change a side who put 5 past Man U can we? At half time on Sunday I'd have said De Laet out for Simpson as De Laet was poor defensively (first goal comes to mind) but he proved second half he can be as good as an attacking fullback as any in the league

Yeah, no changes for me. The reserves will get their chances the next time we underperform (ala the first half against Stoke).

Jamie Vardy surely has to be the best striker in the league when we don't have the ball.

Never seen anyone press the opposition so much. It's a very basic thing that not many players do

Can't imagine that Drinky and Vardy are a million miles away from consideration.

I told anyone who would listen over the summer that if and bit if we came up and did well and Bardy and Moore impressed that they might get their chance for England like Lallana, Lambert etc when Southampton did well. If we keep it up there's absolutely no reason why not

    Sarcasm?

Not going to happen until we get a new England manager that will shake things up, Woy wont look past the top prem teams for England talent, because apparently your skill is based on how massive your wages are.

England needs a Pearson type, someone whos willing to develop a younger group for future tourneys, rather than throwing together a team to try and win the next one.

England managers need to have the guts to take players from lower sides as well, if Nuge or Vardy finished top goalscorer this season, i bet that they still wouldn't be picked or would be a squad player at best.

Problem with England managers is that they have to perform every 2 years or face the boot, so they will put together a squad that they think is best at the time, but 2 years later, half that team may be past it or retired.

Moore, Vardy and Drinkwater will all be on Hodgson's watch list but i think its too early to talk about call ups just yet

Well with the risk of sounding obvious, we need a pacey starting XI imo. We had that v Manc Poo in the 2nd & it worked wonders as it did in the championship.
Palace are playing some good football at the mo but I will be disappointed if we don´t come away with atleast a point.

It's actually a tough one to call. No question about the team, in fact the two on this thread who have been suggested to be dropped had fantastic games performing pretty unglamorous roles against Manchester United (Nugent did a good job harrying Blind, and Hammond in general has had a surprisingly fantastic start to the season, probably the biggest surprise so far!). Plus with Vardy in the team there's always a chance of a penalty (seriously, how many has he won over the past year!?) so we want our penalty-taker on the pitch. This is going to be very different to our other games as we may actually be the favourites for the first time, and Warnock has actually had a pretty decent start to his new tenure.

No they won't, unless Man Utd, Liverpool or Southampton sign them that is.

Drinkwater im sure will be capped by the end of the season - helped by being in a weak area for us depth-wise (not starting)

Barkley, Henderson, Wilshire, Milner, then him if i havent missed anyone out?

Moore will struggle to get there - though if the gossip column is right and Blackett may be fast-tracked then Moore can count himself very very unlucky!

Vardy, well if sturridge gets injured then there arent many non-target man around but i cant see him making it

I actually think midfield is strongest and Drinky is the least likely whereas we have nothing but ****e in centre back and only sturridge who's much cop up front. All opinions though
