Paul Konchesky returns from his 3 match suspension, Danny Drinkwater, Liam Moore and Conrad Logan are cup tied. Lee Peltier should be fit to return. With Chelsea going into extra time yesterday they might have a few tired legs but they have a big squad to cope with it but the older players like Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard might start on the bench on Sunday with Torres or Kalou starting up front. Danger man for them is Juan Mata Here is what i would play for Sunday Schmeichel St. Ledger Morgan Bamba Konchesky Gallagher Danns Wellens Dyer Nugent Beckford Subs- Smith, Mills, Peltier, Kennedy, Marshall, Schlupp, Howard
Sorry there was no good videos and this was the best i could find Beckford also scored a last minute equaliser at Stamford bridge last season for Everton
Same as Brum for me, apart from the cup tied ones. I'd even take Kennedy over Konchesky at the moment because we dont want to be down to 10 men at any point during this game, and some of his challenges are awfully timed.
Do you think that Nigel might rest a few players to concentrate on the league? I have a suspicion that he might (e.g. Schupp for Nugent, Bamba and Mills for St Ledger and Morgan etc).
not a chance, he'll want to have a good crack at upsetting Chelsea imo. If he rests his best, loses, and then fluffs up the league race as well, then it would be a total fail. What would be the point in going so far in the cup to just put out a weak team? we should be going out of all competitions with all guns blazing!
Schmeichel SSL Bamba Morgan Koncheskey Marshall Danns Wellens Dyer Beckford Nugent Subs; Mills, Gallagher, Moussa, Schlupp, Howard, Hopper, Logan.
If I'm going to be honest I think Chelsea are probably going to win this one quite comfortably, Torres will score at least one if he plays as struggling players always seem to against us! Anyway I hope I'm wrong but now AVB has gone they seem to have been lifted.
I dont think Chelsea will hammer us, it will be a very close game either way. They certainly are nothing to fear like they was a few years ago. But under new manager John Terry and his assistant Frank Lampard the results will probaly start to pick up now. But we have players who will cause them problems
...yep hat's the feeling I've got but really really hope we can pull something out the bag, has it got to be decided on the night or can there be a replay if needed?... getting them back to the KP may well help us but let's not kid ourselves their players are nearly all world class, and now team spirit has kicked back in after AVB think all we can hope for is very tired legs, or for fresh faces who are not used to playing along side each other... and we can't give them any time on the ball at all... got everything crossed.. COYF !!!!
This game is on Germany´s SPORT 1 TV so I´ll be able to see an LCFC game on the big screen for a change instead of the PC. No that I´m complaining having to watch it on the PC, without it I would´nt be able to watch them at all apart from the FA cup CFC V LCFC game that is. Anyway I think the dream will end today for those that like a cup run. It would be nice to go though & play at wembley of course, but I´d have to go for 3-1 CFC on this one. I´d like to see Schlupp come on for a good 30 mins tbh especially if one of the front 2 has done sweet f a for 60 mins. Still give it your best shot City
