Voser is a strange one,,, he looked ok pre season but then had an absolute shocker on his debut against Reading causing a few comments from people saying they never want to see him in a Fulham shirt again. yet he was a regular in a league winning Basel team regularly playing champions league football and played as Basel beat Chelsea home and away!
Ps very disappointed with last nights result I was starting to look up the table and not worry about the teams below us but now I think we do just have to consider we are in a relegation fight and just worry about that, with our defence we are going to struggle to finish top half.
Fully endorse what SBMcB has said. Kit needs to concentrate on shooting practice for the forwards, and as far as the full backs and goalkeeper, well what can one say. Somewhat concerned about upcoming fixtures, Brentford, Huddersfield, their mediocre wingers could tear us apart. How could we have had so much possession and fail to convert.
My key takings from yesterday: 1. Amo should not have started as not 100% ready. Played well but slow for their wingers. One sub wasted by bringing on Staf. 2. Hutchison potentially for Bodurov. He is bigger and probably dealt better with their lumps up front. 3. Smith up front to keep the ball and provide strength. Especially second half. 4. Zverotic was better in the second half but reminds me of situation with Baird. Being played in various positions and people get on his back. 5. Two forwards was a luxury and didn't work. Kit needs to start reading the opponents better and try to field a team based on that. The diamond yesterday didn't work effectively as didn't provide defensive cover. We need to build on Parker/Christensen duo... Christensen is wasted on the wings but he is great covering behind Parker in the midfield. Bryan was really good yesterday and showed some class at times. McCormack's absence was visible and especially the role he plays covering the sides. Yesterday would have been a nice 4-4-1-1 formation with Bryan behind the forward and stronger midfield. 2-0 down and it was a hard job even with Blackpool on 10 men... COYW
Felt like a defeat last night. The pre-match talk was all about how many positions we could move up with 3 points - alas. Agree Amo should not have started and sub wasted. The game changed once Staf was on. Blackpool time wasting was so annoying and goodness, Nile Ranger is a big chap.
Fully in agreement with the points that SuperBri and Madness make. Fair play to Blackpool; they were better organised than us, the goalie made some terrific saves and the No. 17 was a right handful all night, while he was on the field. People around me were blaming Dan Burn for their second goal - me I thought the No. 17 did brilliantly to set it up. For us our defence was woeful and not just for the goals - definite finger pointing at Bodurov and Zverotic for those. We lacked any composure when under threat and our headed clearances never seemed to go to a Fulham player. The main problem however was that we lacked shape and the pairing of Hugo and Dembele just didnât work. Dembele never got into the game and Hugo seemed determined to be anywhere but in the box; meaning that he got in the way of any build up. Yet we should have won this game. That we didnât I put down to Kit not having a Plan B. As many others have said it was crying out for Matt Smithâs height and strength in their box. Also what was the point of keeping Zverotic on and why not replace him with Roberts? Not that Pat did anything when he did come on - in fact none of the youngsters last night led you to believe that they are physically ready for this League. Which begs another question of Kit - is he blinkered about the capability of the U18s? Having got that lot off my chest, although not a great game technically, it was full of thrills, spills, goals & cock-ups. And much more entertaining than most matches weâve had to suffer in the last 18 months.
http://www.shoot.co.uk/category/team/kits-unspectacular-fulham/ Well balanced article... Kit's honeymoon will soon be over and the team shows clear weaknesses!!
8 weeks to the transfer window Kit should be here sorting out who we can get to strengthen our defence. and not swanning off with the Welsh team. The "Konch " back at the cottage anyone.
Yup, he was rubbing his left knee during the pre-game warm up. Mind you, when he was on, he was the only one that seemed capable of getting in a decent cross from open play.
