After conceding 6 goals in the last 2 games i think there will be changes for this one. With Neil Danns scoring again he might keep his shirt but Wellens may drop out instead for Danny Drinkwater. Paul Konchesky has the final game of his suspension and will be back for Chelsea at the weekend. So here is what i would play Schmeichel St. Ledger Morgan Bamba Peltier Gallagher Danns Drinkwater Dyer Nugent Beckford Subs- Kennedy, Wellens, Marshall, Schlupp, Howard
Lee Peltier is a doubt apparently aswell. If he isnt fit chuck Tom Kennedy left back. Then the only defender left who can go on the bench is, you guessed it Matt Mills
I would play 3-5-2: Schmeichel..Bamba,Morgan,Tunchev..Peltier,Danns,St Ledger,Wellens,Dyer..Nugent,Beckford. St Ledger to sit in front of the back 3 , but covers either Dyer and Peltier when they push forward. Why not? Time to experiment a little.
Schmeichel St Ledger -- Mills -- Morgan -- Kennedy Bamba Gallagher ----- Danns ------- Dyer Nugent -------- Beckford Subs: Logan, Marshall, Wellens, Drinkwater, Schlupp We need to reinforce the defence for this one. I don't see St ledger as a full back - NP is more likely to put Bamba there as he has far more pace ...- I could see NP pairing Morgan with either Bamba or Tunchev as the central pairing - I could also see NP dropping Beckford to the banch after his last two performances - NP is also calling the FA cup game 'massive' so we might just see some surprise 'rests' with that in mind.
I cant see Matt Mills coming in especially after Nigel's comments to Stringer yesterday By him saying that i think he means Mills isnt fit to be considered and i dont mean injured. Basically at the minute he isnt fit to wear the shirt
Matt Mills made the bench tonight aswell Another **** referee but finally we have beaten a team with 12 men this season.
Out of interest, and to save starting a thread, does anyone know how many penalties we've given away this season? It feels like one a game recently
We have given away 10 penos with 6 being scored Kasper has saved 3 (Michael Chopra, Wes Hoolahan and Sammy Clingan) and Nicky Maynard hit the cross bar on one
