I take posts on their individual value. I'd even agree with Fetid Fettis if he ever makes a good point!
I think you're missing my point(s) Jack. I'm not trying to bring anyone down, merely making observations. These threads invariably roll on because some posters take unkindly to these observations. The truth is, I think we're all in agreement. We all know Ranieri is getting it wrong defensively, and we all know we're pretty awesome as an attacking unit. I just find it more frustrating than most, it appears, as I know we could be better than we are. Yes, I know we're seventh. But I don't see that lasting if something isn't done. I've always had a tendency to look ahead - it's why I kept faith last season and why I'm a bit worried now. Frankly, I don't even bother looking at the league table until 10 games in, so we'll see where we are then.
There may be a few things to think about and maybe even worry about but there is absolutely no reason to be pessimistic. We score goals for fun and have lost just two in the last 17 games (1 in 9 under Ranieri).
I agree with this. My concerns are more irritating niggles than deep worries. Even if they're not resolved, it will probably be a case of finishing 15th/16th rather than the top 10. It could be worse - we could be Sunderland.
... perhaps ... but it's a tad strange that this area has now become your pet project whilst you were strangely silent on it whilst we were getting torn a new one game by game defensively under Nigel Pearson last season? ... strange that Ranieri in getting it so wrong managed the last team in English football to lose a game ... the sad thing for me is that you really have no idea just how petty and small minded some of your posts are now appearing
.. Mahrez didn't play for 80 minutes against Arsenal and we still tore them to shreds at times ,,, so I think we'll probably manage
I can keep spouting on about how far I think we have come ... but instead I'll leave it to someone else .. pretty much sums up how I see it mind http://www.football365.com/news/are-leicester-the-best-of-the-rest-in-the-prem
I make plenty ! Surprised by you chaps this season and vardy be interesting to see how long both keep it up .
When? We were in every game and never lost by more than two goals. The only things keeping us in games this season are Vardy and Mahrez (and Albrighton when he's not dropped!) working their asses off. We've conceded nine goals in the last three games. Do you seriously think Ranieri's getting it right?! What does it prove that we're the last to be beaten? If we'd played Arsenal on first day, we'd have been first beaten. A season last 38 games and some of our easiest games are behind us. What's sad is how personally you keep taking posts which aren't directed at you!
Yep, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Sunderland, the dramas, and Hull for constantly being there to remind us that things could always be worse All of which have gone mysteriously quiet lately
I'll take 12 points every 7 games. I think Ranieri will make changes for the Norwich game and then we have the international break before Southampton. So far for me he has done well.
I was referring to the defence in the line you've quoted, rather than our points total or anything else. I hope he'll change things, but we'll have to wait and see.
"The only thing keeping us in games this season are Vardy and Mahrez"????? Ok Gangsta now you're starting to lose credibility on here and making a fool of yourself which is a shame because you seem a decent chap That is pure and simply nonsense .... And you are doing the rest of our players a huge injustice there.
Our style of play is always going to see some team do us over due to a gung ho approach Once Inler is fit and up to speed and the defense is sorted we will be fine For arguements sake I think we would be more solid defensively under NP but not scored as many Where does that leave us in terms of points who knows
What I'm saying, Miami, is that the way we are defending, we are relying on scoring A LOT of goals, which are being provided by Mahrez and Vardy playing out of their skins. The extremely bad is being cancelled out by the extremely good (or vice versa, it could be argued). The stats speaks for themselves - Mahrez and Vardy are the top two goal scorers, we're tie top goal scorers - yet we have the worst defence. That's not a balanced team in my book.
I hear you mate, I really do. We move on though. I'd love to see Fuchs given a go. He isn't the Austrian captain for no reason. He has quality and would make us a bit more solid at the back
As AKCJ pointed out earlier it took us 19 games to get beyond 12 points last season... if we do that sooner under Claudio perhaps even Gangsta will give some credit
.. no real point debating with you because you aare too blinkered by your own intransigence .Arsenal were nowhere near THAT good earlier in the season... Undisputable .. if we continue scoring more goals than the opposition we will survive ... again undisputable. ... (whilst playing footie that is lighting up the Prem to boot) ... we WERE the last team to get beat .. so we must have been doing something right ... undisputable
