Morgan is an international too... <whistle>

Not really sure why Pearson stopped using De Laet at left back. Simpson (who's been doing really well, by the way) and De Laet are both attack-minded and complement three CBs. I'd move Schlupp to left back if we played 5-3-2 (possibly with Mahrez up front), but last night's 5-4-1 worked well. I don't think this would have worked until we signed a play with the quality of Krammy.

But I agree with you in essence. The two weakest players last night were Konch and Morgan.

What, had an excellent season in the premier league, been wanted by some big clubs and now drastically out of form?

How is Kramaric? I haven't actually seen anything of him yet, all I've heard was the pundits on either 5 live or talksport talking about how overpriced and out of his depth he looks a week or two back.

I understand he had an excellent game last night but missed enough chances to win the game twice over?

Early days but the signs are very, very promising. His movement and control were outstanding last night, and a neatly taken goal. An attacking four of Schlupp, Ulloa, Krammy and Mahrez is going to bring a lot of joy.

Kramaric seems willing to put a shift in thats different to just chasing the ball, he'll make himself available alot earlier than the likes of Vardy and Nugent do.

Hes linking the Midfield and the forward lines alot better imo, but he'll get slated for "not being high enough up the pitch" when a cross is coming in (even though it would be him that created the chance!)

If a "big club" wanted him, a big club would have got him... Or did Curtis find the pull of Hull just too much to resist, and didn't want to leave?<laugh>

More like, he had a cracking season with you, played out of his skin with no pressure, but now has returned to the normal, average Championship player we all knew he was <ok>

Bang on. Curtis didn't want to leave.

And he was never a normal average championship player. He was a championship player, but the best centre half in the championship by an absolute mile for two years running.

A championship that also contained Wes 'easily good enough for the premier league' Morgan might I add.

And now he's a premier league player, and will continue being a premier league player.

Whilst Wes 'lumbering donkey' Morgan will be back in the championship come August and he'll never get to excrete on match of the day again in his life.

Oh here we go, let's dance the not606 dance, which goes something like this...

You make up something we said

I'll say "no we never said that", because, well, we didn't...
I'll challenge you to find a post of anybody on this board saying so...

You'll come back and say "I don't have time to look", but in your head we did, so it's okay, you win...

    Right?

I think there was always question marks over Morgan in the Prem. He was outstanding in the Championship but it was actually Sky pundits that called him the best defender in the league; as a biased fan (like yourself) who doesn't watch other teams as much as my own, you have to trust in neutral opinion. All I knew was that he was good enough to be part of a team that won the league by a mile last season.

He's not been an out-and-out failure this season; it's took until Jan/Feb for opinion to change over him. It could be a confidence thing - maybe a rest will do him good; he's pretty much been a constant for us since signing 2012. Much like Curtis Davies, he's lost his way - but I wouldn't say he wasn't good enough for this level.

Wes did have an exceptional season in the Championship there is no question - but he has been found out at this level and I think his confidence has been rocked ... he throws himself to ground all too easily and when we analyse goals conceded you can see that he has been at fault for quite a few ... he lost Koscielny last night for their first for instance ...

Hindsight is a wonderful thing ... and it does now 'feel' like the pinnacle of his career was in fulfilling his dream of reaching / playing in the Prem

Pearson is in no position to be overly sympathetic - he needs to play his best players in each position ... and right now I don't think Wes is one of those.

In fairness to Wes he plays every single game and never gets rested, he never shys away and yes he has made a few mistakes but he has also proven he has what it takes to play at this level. Maybe not as our main centre half but he definitely deserves his place in the squad
