Good point, Fredor needs his own board. I'll ask BRB if we can get one set up.

 

To be fair, after the doom and gloom over here, that thread did make me chuckle. Some classic comments on there.

So you might as well make a few have a good belly laugh.

 

I've just read through that thread and must admit loved the comment to sombrero: "What you doing on here, has Ashley sold your board" (or something like that). Made me chuckle.

 

As for Garth's Team Of The Week - they are as big a load of ****e as Lawro's predictions. Don't get me wrong, I've got no issue with the 4 mackems in the team - no complaints had the whole 11 been included to be fair. What gets on my tits is that he always picks a good few players from teams who have had unexpected wins, mixed with a few old favourites and quite often just obvious big names cos he can't be arsed to think about it. All four of those Sunderland players could go on to play even better against Hull, but if it ends 0-0 you can bet not one of them will cross his thoughts.

Plus he's a twat.

 

I think you are more popular on both boards than you think mate.
Nothing wrong with speaking out if there's issues.

It is already one of my favourite threads.
Gotta say though, putting the content of PM's up on a forum from anyone.. completely destroys trust and is bad.
Private should be private- there's no grey area.
Beyond that, it's a forum at the end of the day and some of the more sensitive souls should take heed.

I note also that Smug has been banned from his 4th or 5th board and even Bri has been banned from a board over the weekend too.
Christ if we'd beaten them the last thing on my mind would be causing bother on or off my home board... I'd be too busy down the pub.

 

He's a top bloke AB who can give as good as he takes. One of the best SAFC mods they've had over there.

Like you, I've no problem at all with the likes of Colback, johnson & Bardsley being picked this week, but Garth's 'team of the week' is usually ridiculous. He normally just looks down the list of who has scored that week and makes up a 'team' out of it (hoping that at least one defender scored that week).

Once he had a 'team' consisting 3 defenders (2 of which were full backs), 2 attacking midfielders, 2 wingers and 3 centre forwards. One centre back and NO defensive/central midfielders. Now don't get me wrong, it would be highly entertaining to watch that kind of attacking football, but it is NOT a team Garth. Might have worked about 100 years ago, but they would get slaugtered in the modern game.
