some players are carrying knocks, it isn't worth the risk to start them

I'm more than happy to see some of the kids get a run out tonight. Ideally, we want the likes of Wynter, Burns, Reid, Bryan and co playing regularly. I remember SOD saying that it was hard to get players like Wynter, who have never played first-team football to go straight into a full Football League season, but surely they should be ready now?

I think the kids are too coddled by the club. In Spain, these kids would likely be playing B team football, but in the lower divisions every week. If our current crop are struggling, then put the kids in and let them manage their own fitness! Southampton would be a great test for them, and would allow the first-team players to be nice and fit for the league.
