I Expect McGregor Elmo Chester Davies Fig Koren Hudd Brady Aluko Graham Sagbo I would like McGregor Elmo Chester Davies Fig Koren Meyler Hudd Brady Aluko Sagbo
Had ago at Koren a lot last season but he was much better yesterday. McGregor Elmo Chester Davies Figueroa Koren Huddlestone Meyler Aluko Sagbo Brady Is the team that I would play and I expect Bruce to play something very similar.
"I dont know why Bruce and others on here want Brady in a 3 man midfield. Madness. " - jayc89 Surely it's only a three man midfield if you assume nobody moves. Anyway, why is it madness when he has a left back behind him as part of a back four?
Because that's asking him to play too narrow, and he came to life in the 2nd half when he was moved to the wing.
still dumfounded by the calls for Graham to be dropped. I fail to see how he can be judged on yesterday's show. Sagbo did look better leading the line but it was a totally different game at that stage. I think Sagbo, Aluko and Graham compliment each other well as a front 3 combination. In games where we should dominate (Norwich at home) we need a get in the box striker not a target man/space finding striker. Same XI and formation for me with Huddlestone and Livermore in for Meyler and Koren.

That's definitely the team I'd go with. We then have Koren and Graham on the bench and our strength in depth is looking half decent. Seems time for Fryatt to move on. He should go somewhere like Barnsley or Wednesday who are a very commutable 90 mins away, or Derby. Nearer to home and a great signing for any of them. Or maybe even Wolves?
I see him in direct competition with Livermore. With that starting XI our bench could be Koren, Graham, Meyler, Quinn, Harper, Prozzy and Mcshane. That would be our strongest bench ever surely? Im actually really encouraged by that and feel very positive about on-pitch issues.
With Quinniesta fit, my first XI would be: McGregor Elmo Chester Davies Figueroa Livermore Thudd Quinniesta Aluko Sagbo Brady
Well said BFT. Everyone knows Chelsea took the foot off second half. I refuse to slate any player who played in the game. Chelsea were a different level in every area.
I dont think people are slating the quality - well I wasnt anyway - it was the body language that I didnt warm to. Sagbo did much, much better and when you consider Graham's EPL experience that shouldnt be the case.
I was in a bar in Spain watching it, so didnt get much of a view of body language. What was wrong with Graham's? what did you think of sagbo on the left bcc?
I thought he clearly wanted to be down the middle as the focal point and when he want there he gave their centre backs a much more difficult time than Graham did. Graham just seemed unwilling to work his balls off and wasnt interested unless the ball came within 2 yards of him. It reminded me of how Hately played when he was in the team and was clearly annoyed with the lack of service and quality coming his way. Thats how I read it anyway.
