DMc says Mark Wilson is fit; Marv has a niggle with his groin so maybe unwise to start with him.

My side now revised from another previous thread.
    Heaton
M Wilson, J Wilson, Nyatanga, Foster
    Adomah, Davies, Morris, Woolford
    Taylor, Baldock

Joe Bryan will not be risked after concussion.
Don't like the finger pointing whiner from Oz.
Don't know why we gave Carey another year.
Not a great admirer of Nyatanga but can he be any worse than Fonts at present. Probably unwise to drop Holloway into a baptism of fire against Henderson and Wood, but a good youngster might, like Joe Bryan, be a breath of fresh air.
And would like to see Bobby Reid on the bench.

Fearing the worst tomorrow night as the optimism and confidence seems to be draining from many of our more reliable players, Fonts, Pearson and Stead being the prime examples.

Some thinking outside of the box.
It is quite normal at Championship level and below, late in games if a goal is needed by a team, to push the big centre half up front. Many years ago City centre half Jack Connor played as a striker for us and his previous club Huddersfield.
With our problems at the back, what about putting Ryan Taylor at centre half alongside James Wilson?

    My team on post above therefore revised to;
    Heaton
M Wilson, J Wilson, Taylor, Foster
    Adomah, Morris, Pearson, Woolford
    Davies, Baldock

No no no, we need an assured CH not a converted CF. I understand your thought process but a massive NO from me. Currently we need an experienced leader of men otherwise I can see the wheels coming off this season.

Kenny Burns was about the only player I've ever seen who played well CF and CH.

But who knows, the way Fonts/Tangle play you'd find it hard to believe Stead, Elliott or Taylor wouldn't be a better bet.

We really are clutching at straws, good luck Del signing a CH - the table might look desperate after the Leicester and Bolton fixtures.

It gets fairly tedious when certain posters keep playing the same old broken records..

Last year, promotion chasing Southampton were initially willing to spend £1m to sign Fontaine. I accept that there were concerns over his injuries that ended that deal... but they obviously saw something from him on the pitch.

I also accept that Fontaine's form is currently poor. I dont claim to know how to turn that around. I'm a fan, not an expert. I'm sure it depends on the individual. I do believe though that any player chosen to wear the shirt, needs and deserves positive support from the fans. Negativity wont help.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect that.. but some of these posters need to be a bit more humble when sharing their thoughts. They are not experts either.

Liam Fontaine is captain. Del clearly rates him and has made it clear that he is his 1st choice LCB. When it comes to team selection, it's Del's opinion that counts.

BALDOCK comes on and changes the tempo a bit....
TAYLOR and Stead/Davies should start that leaves 2 attackers in the subs

WOOLFORD and ADOMAH start as wings along with PEARSON ELLIOT and MORRIS

    FOSTER CAREY WILSON

    YUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuppppppppppppppp thats 3-5-2

    'Kilkenny --- no !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' -
I can't stand the way the little bugger moans the whole game. He needs a slap.

Think Marv's unfit so I expect Kilkenny to start with Pearson and Woolford. May the Lord help us.

"he has to play alongside a battler"

Why? does that give him permission to jump out of tackles, moan at everyone and blame them for his inadequacies and really badly slow the play down? (this is the worse thing of all because it lets the opposition regroup when we could break quickly. he will eradicate whats been the best thing about our strike force lately)

Not quite what I meant when I wrote "...any player chosen to wear the shirt, needs and deserves positive support from the fans. Negativity wont help."

But like anyone.. you're entitled to support the team however you see fit. Is it safe to assume that we wont see a retraction from you, should these guys have a good game tonight?
