Assuming Taarabt, Helguson, Campbell are all out, who would you play. For me we definatley need to drop one of Barton, Derry and Diakite to allow for a more creative player as we really struggled v Bolton without one. ----------------------CERNY---------------- ONOUHA----FERDINAND--HILL---TRAORE MACKIE-----DIAKITE----BUZSAKY----SMITH --------------ZAMORA----CISSE------------- SUBS: KENNY, YOUNG, TAIWO, BARTON, DERRY, SWP, BOTHROYD But im certain that all of Kenny, Barton and SWP will yet again play. Meaning Cerny, Buzz and Smith are very likely to be on the bench. Still, nice to think for a bit that he would do the decent thing and change it around.
Think he'll start with same eleven he did against Bolton - Derry's role is vital but he may struggle.
If we played that team above, EVERY Rangers fan would be blowing their top. A Midfield of Mackie, Diakite, Buzsaky and Smith against Liverpool? What planet are you from?! In my opinion, in these big games you need players who know what it means and needs to play against them so we can actually try and score. That team above would settle for a narrow 1-0 defeat. Kenny in goal. Young, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Taiwo (possibly swap Hill for Young and move Onuoha out wide). SWP, Diakite, Barton , Traore. (Taarabt if fit) Cisse, Zamora. Mackie to be used as an impact sub, Derry on the bench in case Diakite gets booked within 10 minutes.
Alright, calm down. Its all about opinions! I am fed up of watching Barton and SWP as they have severely under performed all season. We need grafters and people who actually give a damn. I honestly cannot understand why anyone would want SWP over Mackie right now. But i respect that, and as i said everyone has an opinion. A midfield of SWP, Barton, Diakite, Traore is just as likely to get overrun against Liverpool than the one I said. SWP offers nothing, Barton likewise, Diakite we both had, and Traore I like but I dont think Taiwo is ready yet.
Kenny Onuoha Ferdinand Hill Traore Diakite Barton Taarabt Cisse Buzsaky Zamora Subs: Cerny Young Gabbidon Derry SWP Mackie Bothroyd
Sorry Judo didn't want it to sound like i was having ago! I just think that at a crunch time in the season I wouldn't want to see to much change. I disagree with your point about them getting overrun, what we must take into account, since our last game Liverpool have played a merseyside derby and a hard fought FA Cup tie, they will be a lot more tired than us so I'd like to see us get at them with an attacking line up
Exactly, I agree with that. Which is why Buzz must be in for Barton. Mackie and Smith will give their all on the wings and do their fair share of tracking back. Apologies for taking your post the wrong way! Its difficult to tell simply from reading!
The little fat Sheffield Lad in goal Nanchos, Persecution, Yosser, Tai Dumplin Diane Kite, The Useless One, Terrible Rat, Surely:wide of the post Dribble Goat and Bobby Urine Subs: Mc Mac Greystoke Helly Hansen and Tommy Smith ( only good player we have) 4-1 to Liverpool
Me too Brix, we all know he can hit the ball. I also think this line-up has enough dynamism going forward, as well as plenty of mettle in defence. There is also lots of pace to get forward and support Zamora. Quite a good balanced team I think.
I'm not having a go, but does anyone know if this is actually true, or just something we've all come to accept.?
i dont believe that. you cant run a squad with certain players having to play every game if fit. no manager would want that.
i think you have nailed it there. i really would like to see cerny back he was brillent against liverpool last time.
Much as I'd like to see SWP dropped I think because of the opposition he'll play, this will probably be the team: ----------------Kenny--------------- Onuoha--Ferdinand--Hill--Traore SWP--Barton--Diakite--Buzsaky ----------Cisse--Zamora---------- The central defensive partnership is developing and keeping the back four settled has to be the answer at present. Buz for Derry is the only change I think will be made simply to give us creativity. If Adel is borderline-fit he shouldn't play, it's too risky with the rest of our programme. Chopping and changing isn't going to help now we're at the business end of the season. There has to be a reason Kenny is still in the side and I'd guess Cerny may not be up to the demands of the run-in fitness-wise. I'd prefer Mackie on the right as he has great nuisance value and unsettles defenders with his direct style as opposed to SWP who just runs up blind alleys...
I think now the team depends on your out look - A - Do we start treating each game as a Knockout\cup match ? B - Or is it too early for that (our Goal Diff could be the saviour) ? I think MH will play the same side he did vs Bolton, if AT is fit then replace SWP with him else it will be the same. I definataley wouldn't push Cisse out to the wing as a lot of people seem to think, he is our main goal threat and should be slap bang in front of it.
Went to the Liverpool game with two of my Liverpool supporting sons and we lost 1-0 and didn't get the penalty we deserved on Faurlin. Will settle for a 1-0 win for the us and the Pool not getting a penalty they should of had. If we go ahead I will sit in between them otherwise I'll be the outside one of three.
Vale, although we have the best goal difference it will be pointless if we don't start winning a few games, I think we now have 1 win in 16 league games taking just 7 points, that is a statistic that spells relegation...
