On the basis our priority this season is PL survival, that we have both Villa and Wolves next week, massive games for us, we have brought in only one new player Taowi who may anyway not be ready Saturday, and Adel and Traore still away, I would want Marc to let all the players who were involved against MK and Wigan and are likely to be needed in the 2 games next week, to take a rest Saturday. So then what team could we put out. I had big problems trying to find more than 1 "reserve" central midfield player on the Official and have ended up with Bothroyd there. In Marc's favoured 4 4 2 i found these: --------------- --Cerny----------- Orr-----Ramage-------- Perone------Connolly Ephraim----Bothroyd------PVM--------Cook -----------Hewitt------Macheda---------- Bench: Murphy, ****tu, Harriman, Derry, Andrade, Hulse Maybe there are some Juniors raring to go! I'd like to give these a goood go, and if we lose so what if we stay up - take Chelsea at the Bridge! But whatever MH goes with Saturday, this exercise leaves me really concerned about our central midfield options - we are really thin there and need new quality. Thoughts?
I think every single QPR fan would be absolutely disgusted if we put out a near League 2 side out against Chelsea at home in the Fa Cup.
well I am in fact. To take it to its extreme, remember what happened to Birmingham last season? No thanks!
I'd be gutted having forked out my cash. MH may seek to rest one or two if they appear in need otherwise I think he will go for momentum. Confidence breeds confidence and a 3rd win on the trot taking out our local rivals would be a huge boost to the team.
ok, i'll play! --------------------Kenny------------------- Young----Ferdinand---Gabbidon/Hall-----Taiwo SWP------Barton--------Buz----------Ephraim ------------Mackie------HH------------------
I don't think any of the players you've picked will start.I fancy we will start with the same team that beat Wigan, with the possible exception of Gabby in for Hall if fit and Taiwo for Hill if eligible.Confidence is everything and Hughes will want to continue our winning run.
Could be a lot of trouble FA wise. Anyways if you want to play a sh*t team why is Hulse not starting? ;-)
Why not have Rowan Vine partnering Patrick Agyemang up front? (Hulse is too sh*t to even make it into that team)
Could we be in trouble with the FA? Doesn't seem like this is an issue any longer - didn't Wolves leave out 10 players against Man U last season and get away with it? But that was PL, so I'm not sure. First team all suffered knocks against Wigan haven't they. I'd like to see Hewitt start! Would also give MH the chance to see some reserves in a real game, and if we get slaughtered with this kind of team I don't see that this will impact on the confidence of the regulars.
Oh dear oh dear. Unfortunately there is way too much history for us to put out a soft team. Anyone who attended the famous 6 0 thrashing of Chelsea or the two one victory at the bridge with a goal from the half way line will know that there is no better feeling than beating the Chelsea. It would be an insult to those teams and our fans if Hughes didn't play his best perceived team on Saturday.
