i don't agree at all. we have 7 days to the carling cup final so i cannot see us do that. Brighton's best players are probably their wingers in either Buckley, Noone or Vincente (although he tends to drift about) so would rather we had Enrique at LB ahead of Aurelio. Wouldn't see too much of a problem with Kelly at RB though. They don't have an awful lot of pace at the back so think Bellamy would be a good choice and Saurez could do with some game time ahead of next weeks final. I think we didn't expect flanagan and robinson last year but right now we've more players... kenny might give him a go.... we'd better play like we give a damn thats the first thing and after that i hope we see a hat trick!
I'd like to see sterling play, but only as part of a strong line up. None of this play a weakened 11 and then say "oh sterling did not do much against brighton". Essentially play practically our first 11 but swap sterling for downing.
I say Sterling for Downing too! I want Coates to play, as I rate him, and he's not getting any chances in the league.
i would hope we don't play 3 at the back to give carragher a run out o nthe pretext that coates can't play with skertl or something... I'm sure martin and sebastian can figure out how to communicate without a carragehr ear bashing in our own unique language I say this as bright have strong wings so playing 3-5-2 would let them pin out full backs back and make us look bad. I'd play coates only as a direct swap with agger and only to protect agger..... i think the boy is good and won't let us down... but i still want the result more than pitch time for the boy. I'd put sterling on the bench first then introduce if we are where we should be... namely winning 2-0.... I'd be playing carroll and suarez so the 4 in the midfield are the guys i haven't a clue on due to raging lack of form from all concerned.
well kuyt and bellamy are already in for downing so taking downing off the bench is the next step... sterling o nthe bench to come on for useless dirk.....

Given that the FA Cup is a major target for us this season, that side would be a great risk and probably give Brighton a sense that they could 'nick it'.
