Seems to me that there is a bit of a disconnect between the Board and TC at times. In December TC kept telling us he was more than happy with the squad, if he was desperate in an area he just speak to Victor. We then saw the wheels come off and actually we only had a first team as the 'good enough' reserves were not actually good enough at all. TC then says he has a meeting planned with the Board in a couple of weeks ....

So for the next couple of weeks we get the same reply that he is waiting to speak to the Board, but hinting that if Victor finds someone he will let me know.... January window arrives and Ideguchi was a surprise for TC and even though he needed a DM he never got a look in as the boy was on a plane to Spain. Loads of kids were coming in, none had even met TC and TC wasnt in the loop for most of them, 7 kids I believe. Every presser Tommy kept the same answers 'speak to Victor, Victor will tell me, I dont know Victor decides'

Orta identified LDB and TC gave the impression he was happy, Foreshaw actually said he met with the manager but Roberts deffo came as a surprise to TC. I think TC is being sidelined because of recent results but the club are bringing in players Orta thinks will repair the situation.

I believe TC will resign as soon as it becomes unrealistic to reach top 6. The model is first team coach coaches the players in the first team. I believe The Board know what player types are needed and will see whats possible, and maybe discuss the options with TC in the event that there are 2 players, which one do you want. To be fair to TC he has never been involved in contracts and player trading, he has always worked under a DoF even when playing so the media should lay off him a bit. His job is to coach the players given, and its a results based business. If we were playing fantastic football but were unlucky I believe he has a chance to save his job, but as we are poor and some strange tactical moves being made, I think he is on thin ice and knows it.

I suppose Doc, it explains why many top managers are not interested in operating under this system. However, it looks like the way football is moving with the DOF thing

    Morning all
For what it's worth I don't see TC resigning. He may be pushed but I doubt it.
If he was to go then Orta should go as well.
Radz needs to make his decision at the end of Feb latest, get a new structure in place for next season not at the end of this season that is too late, but this is not going to happen.
Next season will see us as we are, IMO
Radz will no doubt point out its all part of the 5 year plan, boll---s
    This season is already over.

I think it would work much better if there was a regular management meeting where TC talks about players who are not making it, positions he needs filling. Orta talking about options, wages, transfer fee limits and what is possible, so the coach is part of the decision making process. I think we have seen in the case of Klich someone the coach had no say in, who he didnt fancy, and went out of his way to make sure he wasn't made welcome. I think Sacko is the same, Grot too especially when you dont even see him or another striker on the bench as we did a couple of months ago. TC likes shagnasty for some reason and plays him in midfield as a DM, yet I have seen him give a couple of decent performances as a CB but hes been crap as a DM. Why choose him over Anita?

Seems this thread is more appropriate today than last week as it looks like last chance saloon for Thimas. Must be a crisis meeting take place today with Orta Kinnear & Radz and Thomas will be the while agenda

Orta seems to be in a position of quite some power at the club and I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a nice four year contract like the players. Either way the players we have are what we have and some manager or coach has to get the best from. The Murcia trip didn’t work in that nothing seems to have changed. I’ve felt for a long time, we are a one man team, that man being Saiz. When at his best the team and fans are buzzing. I worried we wouldn’t win a game in his six match absence and it’s looking that way. Are these red cards the result of players frustrations I wonder

In fairness Eire we are now going theough a run of games against top teams and we are nowhere near good enough. Now why is that when this team was battering everyone at the start of the season. We played with confidence and some flair, but why did the wheels come off?

Ever since those heady days we have been shyte, yes we got some results but played shyte. Shyte has been the common denominator since, why what happened.

LDB and Forshaw are great signings but because we have players missing we cant see what they can do. I think the onky change we can make is changing the manager

The teams you say we battered we didn’t. We battered burton the rest we scraped wins against.
Btw our good start was against the clubs in disarray at the time or those nailed on for relegation. We were crap when we were top and it was obvious that fixtures and luck was favouring us..
