After a pretty demoralising day transfer-wise it sounds as though we might have got Taylor after all. I won't be convinced until I see him running around in an Ipswich shirt as we seem to have the ability to lose signings at the death. From what I have seen of Taylor he looks an exciting prospect, a good age, creative and scores some crackers. We are clearly lacking a player that can pick the ball up, beat two players and smash in a 25 yarder, I think he can provide us with that. Sounds like Boyd would favour a move to us but his wages are an issue. Another decent player but if he isn't prepared to budge on the terms then we can get someone else in, i.e Gallagher form Leicester.

Looks a decent enough player from what I have seen, dodgy past but will give him the benefit of the doubt but he doesnt look like he offers anything (physically) that we dont already have. The transfer fee is also worrying. Evening Star reports it as a base £1.7m. WTF -12 months left on his contract and transfer listed as he wont sign another deal. I thought the combined fee we had agreed with Peterborough including was roughly that figure. Either it is poor journalism, a BOGOF offer or we have gone crazy.
desperation tractorbhoy. He's the only plum that will sign for us at the moment. Its the usual standard joining quotes as well about the facilities and Paul Jewell's ambitions that we've heard 50 times in the last three years. He couldn't give a monkeys about Ipswich.
Seems a decent player, but would it not have been wiser to get someone to compliment chops, ie a physical player...could've spent 1/3 of the money on Davies, and he would've given us that height we crave.
i can't see why we aren'y going for someone like jay bothroyd. scores goals at this level and would give us that physical presence. would cost a bit but we seem to be pushing the boat out in desperation anyway so might as well do it on someone who would add a completely different dimension to us.

We have just shelled out £1.75 Million for Taylor when we could have had Maynard for £2 Million! I know which one I would prefer!
