Surely with someone good in the air we would have had at least one goal on saturday. We have good crossers of the ball but no-one to outjump a defender and get headers on goal. If we had Zamora on our team we possibly would have won, he was the difference beween the two sides.

Bruce has already said a target man is high on his priority list for the summer (if he's still here) but who would you like to see come in so Turner can actually hoof the ball to someone?

Few targets I can think of
    Bendtner
    Bothroyd
    Zamora
    Payluchenko
    Daryl Murphy

Would obviously be better if he was good with his feet as well so who would be your top choice?

So's the idea that we have good crossers of the ball!

Who are these good crossers mate I can't think of any?
as for your list Bendtner and Pav won't come Zamora is a possible bit injury prone but, it would depend on where Fulham finish this season.
Bothroyd is not a target man and probably won't take us any further not that prolific either.
Would that be the Daryl Murphy/ the useless plank of a player we sold who always trained well but, put him in a game and he falls apart.

I'd lay money on Bothroyd signing though...

I personally think Bothroyd would be a useful addition, he's a handful, and he's a grafter.

Wouldn't see him as first 11 material though, but he's on a free, potentially, and he'd certainly add something.

Fair enough mate happy the Murphy thing was a joke though. Thing about Bothroyd is he couldn't do it at Arsenal (no great shame there I suppose) or Charlton or Coventry, he's had loan spells everywhere and doesn't get the contract after them for whatever reason his attitude or general play. Heard he was on a free at the end of the season and some lads saying he'd represent a no risk buy. If however he is as good as some think do you think we'd be the only club in for him (although I did hear Birmingham as well) not exactly loads of competition for him?

There were several clubs linked in January, and Arsene Wenger said he was one who easily had the talent to make it at Arsenal, but his attitude let him down in his younger days.

He's done very well for Cardiff, and didn't look lost in his England appearance, his wages would be reasonable, give him a 1 year deal with the club having an option of a further 2 years if he does ok, seems a fairly decent punt to me.

The joke about Murphy is that despite his limitations he could contribute considerably more to this team than the bloody Egyptian ever has.

Think Bothroyd would be a decent squad player so I put him on the list, don't want him to be in starting XI but be back up for someone else we bring in like Zamora etc.

I think Elmos crossing has improved recently, and Hendo has always been decent apart from at set pieces.

Elmos never clear the first defender mate unless he is on the 18 yard box and even then only just, Henderson has put one good cross in all season as he has been played out of position for most of it all down to SB weakening the team further by playing players in the wrong position.
All set pieces are abysmal but, that is the SAFC way the only time we worked our set pieces was when we had Don Hutchison in the team.

If we are getting Murphy back from his Scottish exile, lets also get the mighty Kevin Kyle.

by the way Murphy scored a blinder yesterday - Jock football must be really bad.....
