What is the matter with Tan.? He is heading for a fall if he keeps up thinking its his club and he can do what he likes...He is the latest custodian who chose to put money into the club as a business venture to make money and under normal circumstances in other business ventures that would be valid, But he cant seem to grasp that football is not a place to make a quick profit and never will be....The club belongs to the fans and always will be and not some individual trying to make a fast buck....He is a tryer Ill give him that but i dont think he really understands what a British football club is all about. He is about to get a lesson very soon i think that cardiff belongs to the people of cardiff and not something you can own and call it your own. I can understand some fans' reluctance to give this article credence but sorry, this time you're burying your head in the sand - though some of you have been doing that for a while as far as Tan is concerned. What on earth do you mean by the 'tone' may well be different? What utter tosh. The article gives direct quotes from a released statement. It's therefore not a question of tone. You can usually spot made up stories or speculation by the lack of such quotes. Tan is exactly what us Jacks have been saying all along - a speculator. He cares nothing about your Club nor its fans. This incident is yet another that's proving us right. I will say this though - he has a point in saying that you've spent a hell of a lot of money to be where you are. But why on earth he feels the need to deal with this other than behind firmly closed doors is beyond me. God help you. Of course this has nothing to do with the recent vacancy at WBA, with Tan hoping that this will force Malky into jumping. If so, he is even more devious than I thought.
Now this is WOL but assuming the statement does exist we have the answer about the moody situation. It was strange of mm to talk about transfers (something he never does) with out discussing it with the club first. Looks like he may have been attempting to manipulate VT and it seems 2 can play that game. Unrest between manager and owner met with the usual jack ****fest. This whole story seems very strange. Here is a man who has previously believed that issues should be dealt with in house. If he now believes the opposite why hasn't he commented on the Moody affair? If Malky ignored the agreed budget and drastically overspent why wasn't he sacked for gross misconduct? If there is a problem then Tan should grow a pair and deal with it formally not make 'official statements' through the press.
...that's why I think it's a ploy to try and get MM to jump, thus leaving him unable to claim any monies due. He tried and failed with the outrageous painter & decorator episode and now he's at it again. Cunning little bugger isn't he?
