Just been looking at the Cardiff and Hull boards - Those two seem to be in a playoff for 'worst owner' status atm.

Got me thinking, though: for all the calls for ME to back Mick in the transfer market, be more public etc., would you still be able to support a club run like Cardiff or Hull? Imagine having unlimited funds that effectively bought promotion to the Prem whilst playing in red shirts and renamed 'Suffolk Punch'!

At what point would you stop supporting a bastardised, megabucks Ipswich-based team that had changed beyond recognition?

Or, something else to think about: should we be thankful for having a 'quiet man' with his hand on the cheque book?

Personally I miss the days of the Cobbolds - life was simpler back then, though, and it couldn't happen now. Could it?

I too was a fan of the Cobbold era - we knew where we were, family firm devoted to the cause, excellent club spirit (ha ha!) and at times, terrific footballing teams. But that's me being sentimental!

Tan will not last. He doesn't realise it but in this country (OK Wales too) people will only be pushed so far and he's already getting close to that point. Tan shouldve just sacked him but now he has only succeeded in making that job a poisoned chalice. The only thing he can argue is that he's got them up but I can't see Cardiff staying in the division without Malky after all this. There will either be a player revolt and fan revolt or they will play out their contracts reluctantly but there is not going to be any morale in that club however great the new man is.
