Takeover was completed last week. NW is completing his business in the transfer market before the TO is announced and prices get hiked for the now cash-rich Leeds United. Just my hunch.
See, that's more my style of positivity, the rest can go suck a ducks arse. I don't care if we get beat by Watford, Brighton, Barnesly, where finally a Championship team again, we are showing alot more ambition now. The plan is to create a team that will scrape through the championship, then spend alot more in the Premiership (try stay up) then push for further glory. It might sound along journey but my proudest moment with Leeds is winning auto promotion from league 1, the first time we had won something in my (knowing) life. (born 1989 too young to remember last div 1 win) The age of current signings shouldn't be seen as an issue, as the aim of the Championship is to get out of it. You don't want to be throwing long deals in Championship unless its at a young player who can bring further profit (see White & Snodgrass & Becchio) Players like: Gray, (+Somma when not dead) Pugh, Brown, Kisnorbo, Ashdown, Thompson or Rogers, Connelly (still currently a Leeds player) make great squad players, and i wouldn't be suprised to see Pugh play alongside Austin in CM Nunez & Paynter both could play roles in up coming season, if we cant sell them at the end of the day there wages are still the same and im sure they would not be to bothered about playing as a squad player, if NW can get the mood right in the camp, which i believe he can. (Remember we are a sleeping giant, when we get promoted we have a 40k stadium that will sell out + tv money, we arent a Norwich, we have the under lying issue that needs resolving and that's being the Kings of Yorkshire, and it will happen but please less negativity (THE WORLDS ENDING COS WE AINT SIGNED DAVID NORRIS) And put our focus in supporting the team we love. Well you are kinda easy that way Migty. Can you refresh my memory of the players that even approach the OAP you have signed that you consider dross? I will concede that I overstated the "cash-rich" part. NW stated a couple of weeks ago that "we would not be doing a Man City." So I read that he has a sensible budget within which to operate. Make the completio of the TO public and prices will jump.
