I think between you, you make my point very well. I'm not at all worried about Sharp as a player and his ability. It's what's is in his head that I'm concerned about. I'm sure it will only be temporary. It just depends upon how temporary that temporary problem is.
Sharp hasn't been here long and hasn't started every game. He's a natural goalscorer...that doesn't suddenly disappear. Lee looked good and scored a great goal, but probably too soon for us to say that he will be brilliant in every game and Sharp won't. I'm sure Adkins will get Billy integrated into the team.
It helps Tadanari Lee that his name lends itself easily to a chant. He had his own song before he kicked a ball in a red n white shirt. We signed 2 strikers because Nigel intends playing both of them, along with Ricky. David Connelly and Lee Barnard are still in the picture as well. If we know one thing about Nigel, it's that he uses a full squad, and the team is a lot more than just the 11 players who start each game.
Let's hope Sharp settles in quicker than Torres. At least he hasn't got a massive price tag to overcome.
Piece about the Japanese interest in Tadanari Lee in The Times. Apparently had lots of messages from Japan by the time he got back to dressing room.
Couldn't help but notice he regularly posts personal videos about life in Southampton on his Twitter - god knows how to get to watch them.
im most excited about the number of mispronounciations of his first name. ive already heard talahari, tanadari and tanawari.
