I am really getting frustrated at Hughes now. Ok, today there were many things that went against us, but we dont help ourselves with tactics imo.

Playing Derry, Diakite, and Barton who are 3 defensive midfielders all together, and to cap it off we then only have SWP in the 'attacking' role. And he couldnt hit a barn door.

How is that going to create goals? There was no service to Cisse or Zamora today, and if it was there at times it was long ball. We had Buzz and Mackie sitting on the bench, and lo and behold when they come on we actually look faster in our attacks and have more options. But Hughes didnt do this until the 81st min.

I am growing tired of his late subs now. Too late to have any real influence.

Barton is also still taking the set pieces, despite many many poor attempts, and even Zamora took a free kick as Buzz wasnt on the pitch.

Makie will work 100x harder than SWP and will offer a faster pace attack - SWP just jogs around doing nothing with the ball.

Im trying not to moan, but its difficult when I keep seeing the same things every week!

Tactics were naive and strange today. Bolton have been playing with 2 wide men for ages so Hughes decides to play none!!!! just gave them loads of space and us no width. Hughes has not once shown me he is any more capable then any of our previous managers!

To me we looked very sluggish and our build up play was far too slow. By the time we wanted to put the killer ball in we had let them regroup.

1 win in 8 says it all really. Despite all the bad luck we have had, we havent helped ourselves at times.

Tactics? What tactics? The first 20 minutes we were hoofing it anywhere without a real pattern of play. When Bolton took the lead we hardly made any sort of impression with passes often going astray. In the second half we were actually creating more chances but not through better tactical play, Bolton were awful in the second half and were there for the taking. Our subs were too late whereas theirs won them the game. That and the appalling decisions of Atkinson and his sidekick Bollock cost us dearly...
