just that usual horrible feeling of here we go again ,i cannot comment on the home games too much as away games are my thing due to location ,and in all honesty i am pleased because on the whole we are better away in most matches ,if i had to endure home games with the showings in the last few seasons ,that horrible feeling would be worse

Anyone in the bottom half can go down. After tonight, I am fearful of our chances of survival! To draw with (just!!) against an Alan Pardew side, is just not on!

My concern is that just about half of our games are against those below and around us.

Well I am fully expecting to be supporting SAFC in the EPL next season. I have no fears whatsoever.

Me neither, although it makes for much more sensational threads to claim we're doomed.

The truth is that there are easily 3 worse teams than us.

We've had 3 decent performances followed by an awful first half. Wasn't there but apparently we were better in the second half, just couldn't score.

There are still 13 games to go.

It's a bit early for ring pieces to be getting twitchy.

Been watching Sunderland 34 years nearly! My memories of us not battling when in the top division are very few!! Think the Burnley v Man U game last night shows how different a team can be week to week - we are inconsistent. We played Burnley - they were poor we were decent. We played QPR, We were poor they were OK. Burnley play Man Utd and looked way better - still lost but looked a totally different side to the one that played against us by all accounts.

3 points next Saturday against West Brom is paramount. Bradford is going to be a difficult game - I didn;t like Poyet's comments that the West Brom game was more important - IMO the next game is the most important one - no matter which competition it is in.

In the wider context West Brom is more important than Bradford , but he should not be saying so in public, he is a stupid fool who can not keep his mouth shut, and he is incapable of seeing it.

That's what Norwich thought last season though.

Norwich away was the worst i have ever seen us play ,and yes you are correct after that match even with those easy points of us they fell away with the top three for them to play at the end .

Our own run-in was called 'a miracle' when it suited Gus though. It was horrible, and Norwich must have thought we were certs to go down. Yet, look what happened! I wouldn't want to rely on the 'three worse teams' theory.
