Great to see Adel selected on merit for the starting line-up. Note Fitz Hall also starts - would much prefer Gabbidon. Good offensive replacements on the bench (SWP, Bothroyd & Smith).

I thought Hall was another that wasn't 100% fit along with SWP and Gabbidon. Still nice to see Clint Hill and Shaun Derry in the side...we will need leaders out there today.
anyways off to pub to watch the game

1-0 down, another hill to climb - would like like to see us get back in this game ASAP. 2-0 down would be difficult.

BBC live text comment on the Swansea goal that looked like Danny Graham controlled the ball with his arm, where Wayne Routledge provided the nice cross:-

"1717: I know you wouldn't expect anything else, but Neil Warnock is apoplectic on the touchline about that goal. It was ball between thigh and hand, so it could go either way in my book. It doesn't excuse the horrific defending from 'One Size' Fitz Hall though. "

We look impotent up front, dodgy at the back, and can't keep possession in midfield to save our lives. Faurlin thinks we're playing in white, unable to find any Rangers players with his passes.

Happy Bloody New Year. Warnock needs 11 new players.

Poor display really. Confidence seems low and we can't seem to string three passes together without losing the ball. Swansea flatter to deceive with a lot of their possession stats made up of passes in their own half, but credit to them, they keep the ball for long periods, but we should be hurting them from wide...

They look short on confidence and leadership. Warnock doesnt help-he was berating the official at least 10 minutes after the goal.....FFS, the goal was given, move on and start thinking about how we might equalise!! I've been a fan of NW up to now but after this performance it looks like our team need fresh inspiration....

    He definitely looks interested.
Tarore onthe othe other hand, looks fine going forward but not very aware in the defensive third. Should have been a pen IMO and not the first time he got caught in possession.

I hope NW isn't determined to be rid of Taarabt, he showed some good stuff today and without him we often look one dimensional. Decent point, definitely better side in the 2nd half after a shaky first.

Yes, quite agree, his defending at times looked really sloppy, often far too nonchalant clearing his own end, getting caught on the ball several times.

Happy we salvaged a point - probably a fair result. Warnock being interviewed right now - his usual "we played some fantastic football today, really disappointed not to get 3 points".

I'm really surprised at some of the comments on here. Even at half time I thought we'd played reasonably well, apart from Hall who just isn't good enough. 2nd half we were by far the better team, with Adel linking play well and Barton playing better than of late (plus he left all the free kicks and corners alone!). Great finish by Mackie and overall a very good display imo. Much better!!

Adel rarely put a foot wrong, in my opinion. I don't mind him having a go... at least someone is!

The only thing negative about his performance was not getting it over to Jamie Mackie enough as the second half went on as Jamie was obviously dying for it.

Mackie has been like a new signing since he returned, his energy and enthusiasm are paying dividends. Those who said he wouldn't cut it in the PL are being made to eat their words. Let's hope his run of goals continues...

Can´t believe you thought Barton played well I thought he looked slow and a bit uninterested, I really believe that we need to see a few captains performances from him soon.

I said he was better than of late, that's all.
Taarabt's pass completion was 98% apparently....not bad eh?
