Queenslander, There was a world of difference between the disillusioned player who lost his captaincy to Barton, and who, having been the subject of total adulation by Warnock, was then told he was free to leave AND the player who was valued by MH and told he had a vital part to play, not only in keeping the club in the Prem but in its future too. Tarbs is an exciting, creative, incredibly gifted player. He's also a premadonna, diva, and infant-terrible whose confidence is shot to bit unless he is loved and admired by management, team and fans alike. He will be next season. There aren't many Adels around. He's young. He can take the Prem by storm. Hope to God he stays! PS - this posted before I saw your retraction, Queen's. Even so, if you didn't think you'd posted it, you must have THOUGHT it! Shame on you!!!
I completley agree regarding his fir half of the season - before Hughes came in he was very poor indeed. But Hughes gave him a new lease of life, and I cant see how he hasnt stepped up based on his form since Jan? As people have said, he wont win games on his own in the PL - he isnt that good yet! But he performed so much better than half the squad in the last few months - Bothroyd, Campbell, Barton, SWP, Young to name a few.
Just for the record.... i think T is an incredibly gifted player. He has skills that we haven't sen grace our club for many years. he also has the ability to become a decent prem player. prob is, he hasnt done it yet. his performances after Mh came in were an amazing step up and realy good...when he played. problem is, if you are to be considered a great prem player ala giggs, schooles and even Hughes...you are in the team every week and you deliver, every week, week in week out... i would ask anyone of you to remind me of a time paul Scholes had a bad game?....he may not have been MOM, but i cant remember him having a bad one, or roy keane, or viera, or.....etc... I; so desperately want T to become the player HE COULD BE", but he is not there yet.......Why did he not play in our most crucial game at City? I trust MH judgement and am sure he can make him a better....but all this crap about how good he was really is delusional..... Pre MH - terrible...Post Colin - a massive part of our survival...... Alll i ask you to think is, think about the WHOLE season......not just the last 8 games or so....Is that fair?.. PS..North..we dont do sober or idiot out here...!!

Mate, thats the problem..I do rate Tarbs, just wish he would step up a bit more often. Yeah, i was doing loads very well last night including arguing with mods on WATRB and making them look very stupid. For my part....I really really want T to make me look like an idiot..( not that much) but he aint done it yet... Certainly not our worst player last season...by a mile...but not gonna accept that he was as good as some think !! its all about opinions isnt it !!....
