    he was never good enough for lower league football as he proved. A good pub player is his limit.....

    Thats doing him a dis service ,Welsh league he came from and maybe that was his level .I was a pub team player and I couldn't tie his laces :smiley:

    Not really, If he was talented then he would have played league football. He never made the grade but for a local team he was good....he just don't have it just like thousands who get a chance of higher level and fail....Its no shame.........you could not be very good then bony if you could not tie the laces of a fellow pub player <laugh>

    Michael Howard was in the side that won promotion under Hollins when we got most of our points by winning games 1-0, he wasn't a bad player in that team but by the time he left he was awful with his confidence completely gone. Have to say that Aiden Newhouse was one of the worst strikers we ever spent money on, can remember the Fulham fans laughing at us because we'd actually given them a transfer fee for him. We did the same when Steve Torpey went from us for £400,000, Owain Tudor Jones was another who went to Norwich for around £150,000 which was amazing for such a dire player.

    Frankie howard! Think he won player of the season that year! Went down Hill badly after his confidence went as you say.

    Benfica full back but never actually did any defending,just dribbled the ball up field and stayed There !

    Heggs cost us 50k ! Yet another WBA player...we never did learn with them did we!
