Why would they want Kasper when they can get Lonergan for half the price?

The mind boggles...

 

I think the goalies at those clubs are as good if not better than Kasper. I don't think he would want to go somewhere to warm the bench.

 

Hardly surprising - and with Vorm 'hot property' at the Swans (Arsenal apparently interested) it makes them, with Laudup in charge, the likeliest ... although Arsenal are also supposedly interested in Mignolet at Sunderland.

Best protection is to go up ... end of.

 

I'd have Kasper over Vorm any day!

And if Kasper wasn't, Westwood is the guy I'd replace him with

 

I can see us struggling to hold onto some of our players, especially the Sven purchases as they would be in their last year of their contract.

 

Nugent, Konchesky, Schmeichel, Dyer, St. Ledger, Morgan, Whitbread, Dyer, Waghorn and Danns contracts all have 12 months left on them

Out of them we need to get Schmeichel down on a new deal, give Morgan an extension and make the rest earn their extensions over the last 12 months

 

... I'd just be looking to offload all but Kaspar, Wes, lloyd and perhaps Waggy - although Waggy looks a long way off being first team now ...

 

Agreed, but if we could get Nugent on reduced terms I would be more then happy. I think he has to come down on wages. No one in this league can afford to match what were paying him especially with FFP coming in. And no one in the prem will be interested with his current wages.

Lloyd if used properly still has alot to offer. Waggy is still young and has proved he still has the ability to make it as a decent footballer

No. He signed a 4 year deal. He has got another 2 seasons along with Wellens and Gallagher

 

If we don't go up and you do. Send us a massive cheque and you might be able to. I can't see Kasper moving to another club unless they was pushing for Europe now.

... not sure he'd have much choice TBF ... most clubs 'pushing for Europe' have pretty fine keepers - think Arsenal may well sign Mignolet or Al Habsi before Kasper and the others look OK ...

 

Less then Beckford who is our best paid player apparently - hence why we are having trouble getting rid of the useless sod.
