True, but I still think the boys are good enough....just need to change up what we are doing in the final third.
Remember 3 wingers behind the striker?
    Could be the answer.
I reckon Routledge would cause mayhem in there (behind the striker) given the chance....would create space and opportunities for others.
Montero might be worth a shot there too.
Perhaps Siggy could compete with Ki for the playmaker slot?

The first-half performance against West Brom under Laudrup (Pablo, Dyer & Routs) was outstanding.

Sunderland have O'Shea and Wes Brown at the back - 3 wingers could cause mayhem, but can't see Curt "gambling" with that formation.

As a temporary manager, in some ways the pressure could be less as he knows he can't get the sack :emoticon-0105-wink: So maybe he will be a bit more dynamic in his thinking. We have to get at them from the start and we simply have to score.

I have a good feeling about this game and I think we'll win by a couple of goals.

Siggy, Ki and Britton will start most games together from here In the middle imo .
Same as Routledge on the outside ,which side depends on who the 5th midfielder is , or 6th for that matter .
Sunderland need all the help they can get on defence , not surprised they signed a new CB.
Might take him a while to find his feet though if he even starts , which should work in our favour if he plays.
Both Bournemouth and Newcastle play a couple of tough games the day before us so hopefully they lose and instill a bit of confidence in the squad before we play.

Of course we are better than them player for player but we cant score goals and that has been our problem all season.....We would be in the top half if we had a good striker or two so why is not jinx doing everything he can to get one ? It don't make any sense....

He's shown he's prepared to gamble (with his line up against Crystal Palace), so you never know <ok>

I would say he did not know what to do and just tried anything to solve the problem, Im not saying that is a bad thing as i would probably do the same but it has not solved anything.....We have to keep playing our recognized strikers now and hope they come good. No striker wants to look bad as it hurts their chances of international football so i think Gomis Eder and Ayew are trying their best and its about time now instead of getting them to fit into our style we should try and fit into theirs......It may work and it may not but something needs to change that's for sure...

It's the acknowledged behaviour of mentally challenged people. <ok>

I think we've all recognized early that taking risks and expiermenting is not a problem with Curtis , it helps though when the whole squad is involved and believes in what your trying .
This is why I think we will come in safe after 38 games regardless of transfers in . The wrong transfers out is more concerning to me .

Ok so now the weekend is over and we are both out of the FA Cup, how are you feeling about this game.

While we lost, we did well until a couple of strange subs by Sam, in fact its almost as if he thought "this might be a draw the last thing we want is a replay, lets take our spine off the pitch". it work!

What was interesting was that Lens started to play like he can and he seemed interested! If he can play to his ability, which saw him in the Dutch national team then he might yet be the player we thought we bought. It was also good to see Pickford start in goal, but I don't think he will play on Wednesday.

The new lad from Germany looks a quick ball playing CB, however Sam seems to be saying that he will start on the bench.

One thing we do have is a goal or two in us, but we can be caught at the back especially down our left, when we play four at the back, so there wil be goals in the game.

It will be tight and I think we can nick it, but I am sure you will think its tight as well and you will nick it!

So what should we look for in your line up?

Curtis is proving unpredictable so who knows? I suspect he'll pick what he believes is our strongest starting 11.

Roof: "I think we've all recognized early that taking risks and expiermenting is not a problem with Curtis , it helps though when the whole squad is involved and believes in what your trying . This is why I think we will come in safe after 38 games regardless of transfers in. "

So now Curtis is doing the right thing in using squad players? I thought you said we should have picked our strongest team yesterday?

If we can keep Ki and Siggy quiet, we'll get something from this game... :emoticon-0148-yes:
