crc he has gone mate, Liverpool are talking to his club now with a view of signing him. There is no chance he is coming to us. And I don't want him now as he has no commitment to play for us, we want players who wants to come here and play

siggs is no super star, we made him look good,..... why did hoff not play him,.... why was brendan given the boot at reading when siggs played for him..... how many goals did he score in the last 5 games for us after managers sussed him out...I would think that laudrup will get better than siggs as he flops at liverpool......Im glad he is not signing at that fee we were going to pay hoff for him....

he would have sorted the budget out before he signed so he must be happy with what is offered, that is one of the first questions asked by any manager that takes over a premiership club.

    1. No he aint a superstar, but he played like one. 2. He might not of suited Hoff!! 3. Brendon was not given the time and style. 4. How many did he score in the back half of the season, more than most prem strikers??? I hope Laudrup brings in and helps all our players, hence HJ bringing him in, and progressing us once again Dai, which, you predictded would never happen!!

Dai. you would of had us spending £20,000,000 in league 1 on the old 606. You have no idea how a club should be run. You u do atract attention though, good on you <ok>

We'll see soon enough how great Sig is with Liverpool .... Rodgers too for that matter. I'm just a little leery of smashing our transfer record for a player bought by the last manager for the incoming manager crcjack , I've seen players in such scenarios get lost in translation .

How can you say he owes us nothing.... After he agreed to join us and all.....and then kept us hanging for a few weeks....
That's pretty unproffesional behaviour in my books.

Its unbelievable how far we have come, Crackerjack. 15 million is serious money to a club like us. If Sigi doesnt sign, im sure ML will have targets of his own that will fit in with our style, and being the player he was, he should see the right qualities in a player that will suit us down to the ground <ok> Hope the Sigi deal isnt dead in the water, but it aint looking good. Its said that he likes working with youngsters to, fingers crossed it will help our acadamy evolve to.

    "why all this aggression"

Because you have repeatedly asked for it by rubbishing our excellent Chairman - and still not even the slightest concession from you that the Laudrup signing is a coup for him personally. <doh> Asked and answered!

As for Siggy owing us something, of course he doesn't. He contributed to our excellent season and there's an argument that we'd have been close to relegation without him. A strong argument. So we should be grateful for that.

He was a loan player that said he was happy to join us but was doing so in the main because Rodgers had belief in him. He was open about this. When Rodgers moved that changed.

So no, he doesn't owe us anything at all.

Dai, didnt mean to come across as aggressive, yes, we all have different opinions, or the world (and this forum) would be a bloody boring place <ok> Siggy doesnt owe us a thing, he did more than enough to add his mark to the progression of SCFC, but, he did accept terms and a lot of work by our club has been wasted if he decides to go elsewhere. Although in this day and age, nothing suprises me in football anymore! Another chapter has opened regarding Swansea City, which keeps us jacks on our toes and at the end of the day, we never do things easy <ok>

ok it is siggs choice but he could be more gracious to his team mates who made him look good. Brenden is only the manager and its the players that make each other look good. like i said before Jase the ace was made to look good with us but the minute they think they are better than in reality they are and move on to bigger things then reality steps in and they flop big time. All we saw of siggs is his early run of goals but as soon as he was sussed then he never scored again and was made to look like a bog standard player....I hope he does well but cant see it myself and i did not agree with his over the top valuation, so I'm glad its not happening now and the money handed over to Laudrup so he can get his own player.....

Its simple at the end of the day IF Laudrup wants him...at us he can LEARN more, at Liverpool he can EARN more. Win Win situation for him, you cant blame him for waiting to see who our new manager is

Well said Jackdan, totally agree with you, but I fear the 'EARN' will win at the end of the day.
Dai, at the end of the day not many players have left us and done well, it seems to be our curse, but it does point out that we are almost unique in the way we play and manage our club.
We are making a mint at the moment of being a feeder club for Premiership managers, especially with Martinez being touted for the Spurs job!! Isnt that £12 million made from just selling on managers?
If this trend carries on, I hope we have a sell out claus in Laudrups contract of £30 million in case Abramovich starts sniffing!!!!

cheers crc, I think he will go the EARN route also. Saying that I have a feeling that Laudrup would rather the 7million to buy his own players.

And TBH I'd rather tie up a deal on Caulker before Siggy and with Harry gone I think it could even be worth putting a cheeky bid in to buy him!!!
