Just a summary of where our points came from this season. It throws up one or two surprises!

    6 – Fulham, West Brom

4 – Wigan, Bolton, Aston Villa, Liverpool

3 – Man City, Arsenal, Blackburn, Stoke

    2 – Wolves

1 – Newcastle, Spurs, Chelsea, QPR, Sunderland

0 – Everton, Norwich, Man Utd

Agreed. But i think we gained 1 v Newcastle, 1 v Sunderland (think they hit the bar twice?) and 1 v wigan (late penalty save and they hit the bar)... Could also argue we gained 2 v Fulham with vorm saving another late pen that would have made it 1-1... But then id say we dropped 2 v Chelsea aswell with the late og.

Id probably say they evened themselves out throughout the course of the season and where we are now is where we belong... For now :D

It's swings and roundabouts. For each point 'lost' we will have 'won' points elsewhere through good fortune.

An important stat is how many points we gained out of clean sheets, I counted I think 30 points from them

Lets look at this methodically ... What did the two games against Everton , Norwich , Manchester United , Newcastle , Tottenham , Chelsea , QPR ,& Sunderland have in common that we could only get a point or less from ? . And what did the rest of the teams have in common that we could get more ?

Total points taken from each club where they have either kept a clean sheet or when both teams have scored:

Norwich clean sheets - 7 points
Swansea clean sheets - 32 points

Norwich both scored - 40 points
Swansea both scored - 15 points

Not really to sure why this is relevant but i thought id compare both teams as we are similar in terms of size and spending etc.
Makes for an interesting reading though. Personally i feel we have the upper hand here (of course i would) because we are not constantly trying to outscore teams in order to pick up points and even if we fail to score, we are still more likely to pick up a point, whereas you always feel Norwich HAVE to score in order to get anything. Thats my take on it anyway.

What these stats show is a bit worrying because if we did not have Vorm and siggs in the side we would have been relegated...<ok>
