Mabon my old mucker, too much good news. Just keep it coming, baby!!! I would just love to see Rodger's face if we land Laudrup and then sign Siggy as well. I LUVS it! Hope to God your "sauce" is accurate.
Mabon since you come on here and said that Laudrup will be speaking to the club this weekend, his odds have now gone to 49/10??......................
Its the same person who told me that pascoe was off with brenda, he got that right a good bit before it was officially announced, he is pretty reliable lets see what the next few days brings
Mabon your a saint mate! great news with Ivor's dark horse Laudrup, and Siggy, I'm going to cross everything on this, made my day!.........
Have a read of this, Jones has reservations of taking the Swansea Job?................. Link: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ul-landing-Graeme-Jones-Gylfi-Sigurdsson.html PS: Short list at the Liberty: Holloway, Jones, Poyet, Howe, Landrup...........
Dragon do you get the feeling that Jones is frightened of taking a No 1 role, its like he is frightened to dip his toe in the water, he is probably more suited to being a number 2, i was surprised we went after him a third time after he knocked us back the first two times
Agree Mabon, Jones has never come across to me as a confident man, matter of fact he seems to be a bit of a worrier!............
Fcuk me, went to Morgans said I was with Dai and they said will you please Fcuk off and never come back. Poyet for me, connections at Chelsea and Spurs. Wouldn't mind Solskjaer too then we could get someone from Man Utd on loan
I popped in and think i saw you with dai in there ! which one of you was wearing all those football badges ? Sure i saw sheera sneeking into a back room with HJ !!
Mabs & Phil, That's what I meant when I said that we need a manager who believes in his own ability - like Rodgers. Any signs of doubt, hesitation or lack of confidence will communicate itself to the players and spread like wildfire. If Huw has any sense whatsoever, he will have picked up on this immediately and written Jones out of the equation. If he persists, I can only assume that he is on a kamikaze mission. You do not employ someone for a position such as this unless that person is 100% confident in his ability, not only to do the job but do it well. What little feeling I had that Jones might do a job for us, has now been totally obliterated. I wouldn't touch him at any price.
Agree with your analysis. If Jones isn't sure, then forget him. We need someone who wants the job not someone who want to think about it. This is an excellent opportunity for Jones, but sounds like he might not have the confidence to take it. Michael Laudrup is now 2nd favorite with betfair. Will be lots of speculation now, with no obvious candidate at the front.
Aswan, Not much to report on Sandoval I'm afraid. Much of his experience is in the second tier in Spain and he recently got Valecano promoted. I lived in Spain for several years and have good friends there. I called them and no one had much to say. I'm not saying that the guy is no good but he doesn't seem to be pulling up trees such as the Bilbao manager for instance. I hope we are not going Spanish for the sake of it. We do need some pedigree and track record now. The Premier League is so unforgiving, which is why I wouldn't touch Jones after his reported hesitation. We need someone with 100% confidence in their ability to do this job.
Sandoval seems to have disappeared off the betting as quickly as he appeared, Ivor. Not there this morning. Ah well. Don Howe was for a bit of a laugh, Yankee. The Howe that Dragon was referring to is undoubtedly Eddie Howe the Burnley manager. Sorry for wasting your time
