Now that Sven has been sacked by Leicester how long before he is mentioned as a candidate for Pompey? I really hope we don't consider him but it will not be the first time he would of been connected.

Berrrlimey - that surprised me. Ruthless business this isn't it.

Would he actually consider Pompey? I thought he was a manager that needs big bucks to make his mark, which of course we don't have.

Unless you are keen to pay out tonnes of compensation when he is sacked I don't advise the appointment!

  4. You'd want SGE as PFC manager about as much as you'd want Brolly Wally...

No, no and thrice no. Billy Davies for the Leicester job, though?

CSI are taking so long and such is the lack of rumours from FP that I am thinking they have an ace up their sleeves. And it's nearly November......... when a certain league finishes :emoticon-0112-wonde

    Can but hope.

I am expecting the new manager will be announced at the Forest game (5th), taking over the next day before the international break :)

Announcing Martin O'Neil before the Forest game would certainly get all of the crowd going!!

PompeyWallasey - nice to see you back and lurking around the boards!

It won't be Martin O'Neill. His and Curbs' names are always banded about when there is a vacancy.

I have a feeling we are awaiting the Norwegian season to end....and then OGS will be announced before kick off against Forest before the 2 week break.

I just have a feeling that CSI have something up their sleeves and that OGS is already tied into PFC but wants to finish his season out in Norway first. It's all too convenient!

    Seems like a reasonable assumption.

You're doing pretty well in the interim.

    Cheers mike much appreciated.

The Martin O'Neil remark was intended as a joke, especially as the Leicester job is available.

I have a sneaky feeling it could be OGS too. If Molde win at home on Sunday they will be uncatchable. At least eight points clear with only two matches to go.

Sven must be unique in that he has EARNED over £ 30 MILLION in payouts after effectively being an abject failure in his job.

Not even our city bankers could compete with that!

Are you speaking from experience LFIH?

I see that Eddie Howe is suddenly 2-1 favourite to be the new manager! Radio Solent claim that announcement of new manager will be made shortly.
