Don't want to put a downer on him but he has only played about 8 games for Blackpool and hasn't exactly been setting the world alight. Do we need another inexperienced youngster learning the ropes? I just think we need an old experienced battering ram centre forward who has a good scoring record right throughout his career, but is getting on a bit. I hope I'm wrong but this guy might be class in a year or two but we need someone to hit the ground running.
Can't disagree Jock that in an ideal world we'd be signing a proven goalscorer. Trouble is I suspect that as soon as "proven goalscorer" appears on a CV, the price goes out of our current reach. Holloway has given him some game-time in the Championship, so hopefully he has something about him.......
I'll let you know my opinion when I've seen him play myself. I can't see any point in speculating on somebody being useless or otherwise until they have had a game for us. Holloway must have seen something to take him on and I can't see him stitching us up so on face value he therefore must have something about him. Proof of pudding is in the result. Now for a seasoned CB. I sincerely hope that we don't do the untried and tested route for that one.
Lets face it we are more than likely to lose him come January anyway. This time however there doesn't have to be a cut price bargain admin sale.
