I thought young Suso was superb when he came on, neat touches, hardly gave the ball away and at the same time he was a threat. If he continues I'm sure he'll be rewarded in the same manner Sterling has been. We really are starting to see the Academy producing the goods. Thanks Rafa
Agree, looked composed on the ball which is expected given where he grew up playing football. Mentioned in the match day thread that Sterling's performances seem to have given the young guys a kick knowing if they perform well they'll get a chance. With Kelly looking like he could be out along with Agger, think Wisdom & Coates might get thrown more chances in the coming weeks as well.
I think Sahin isn't match fit, and he realises it. Also, Suso looked good, though I noticed in most situations he looked for Gerrard for a short pass when he didn't know what to do with it. It implies he still needs that leadership and decision making. However given that his Prem debut for us was against United in a heated derby he does look good for the future.
Suso for an attacking midfielder plays like a winger in the way he has the ability to avoid challenges. For the goal he strode forward and dodged challenges, it was superb to watch, and his ball to Gerrard was sweet. Thanks Rafa for having the vision to get us 3 potential stars for less than a combined £3 million, Shelvey, Suso and Sterling.
look suso did fine when he came on but still.... if rodgers has to correct the issue again then you have to question putting the kid on. henderson gerrard allen was what he went with after his sub and we lost stelring to go do it.... in the ned though we self destructed yet again really... joke for the pen... pure joke it was 3 on 2 and utd hsould have socred even if it wasn't a pen... if anything valencia failed to taker full advantage of the error.
