For the third year running Skybet have Pompey as favourites for the league 2 1/2 months before kickoff!

What are your serious [without the blue tinted specs] expectations for the 2015/16 season?

I think that you need to be a little patient and give Paul Cook time. He has proven record of success in the lower leagues but will need to bring his own players and style of play to the club. I think that the play offs are a distinct possibility but be careful not to climb up a level too soon. It is a long term project and i'm certain that you will be established in League One within 3 years.

Personally the gap between the Top of League 2 and the upper end of League 1 is not that great. It is at the extremities that it is at its greatest, The gap between top and bottom of the PL is far greater than that between bottom end of PL and top end of League 1.

I'm going for auto promo this year.

But concede that it might be play-offs.

Although I do expect this to be the last year in the basement <ok>

Agree with 3rd eye. Have a feeling in my water that next season could be our year.

Need to get off to a good start though.

My aim this season would be a the Play Off places. A top half finish would be acceptable, automatic promotion or the title would be exceptional, but ideally at this stage I'd want to be challenging for the Play Offs.

Hope springs eternal and along with the best supporter base in the division plus a new manager that those on here think is another plus - a couple of players signed that can see the possibility of progress why not the playoffs at least - I rest my case :emoticon-0103-cool:

That's so defeatist Lapras, I would've agreed had you stuck with Awford, but you have a proven manager now. Paul Cook WILL take you up, maybe not next season, but he will.

I think Paul Cook is being massively overhyped. Sure he got Chestferfield promoted, nearly twice..... but who's to say he'll do that at Portsmouth?

I am just pleased that at long last the board, club seem to be able to let go of the "old regime" the "appointing from with in" policy that has heaped so much pressure on those who we have held dear to our club for their .......

Cooky has been saying all the right things.....when required.....and i like that fact he is not in the news every 5 mins quoting this and that such as we have had in the past......

I, like others.....am going to look forward to another season of footy and hope that with new blood we can progress at last.

A top half finish is the least i would expect.....play offs would be brilliant for his first season.......and anything else will surely see him as the new blue messiah!

4-1 at most reputable turf accountants. Very poor. Get on Notts County or Crawley e/w 1-2-3 1/4 odds at 16-1
